There is so much potential in this hotel but honestly it’s easy to see why it’s gone into receivership. The service is terrible largely because there are not enough people to support guests, service is terribly slow (it took 3 attempts and >90mins to get a robe), the bar on the ground floor doesn’t haven staff. The pool however is lovely and it was fun to try curling. At $510 a night which was a discounted rate - this hotel is not worth it. I struggle to see how this hotel can still be in business under its current performance …. It has so much potential! Loved the engraved hearts on the column in front our room - you’d think this would have been painted over.

Our stay was comfortable and relaxing. We enjoyed the New Year’s Eve dinner and dancing. Brunch was fabulous. Nice walks outside and sitting by the fire.

We were there from 22-27 Dec 2025, along with our daughter, her husband and their 3 children (aged 4, 2 and 6 months). It was fantastic!!! The Christmas decor was absolutely beautiful; service was great throughout the hotel; food was excellent (both “A la Carte” and at the buffet); there were plenty of activities for all ages, both inside and outside; and room service was superb! Well done indeed, Chateau Montebello! An we also truly appreciated the ALL ACCOR "member status recognition" gifts! Very thoughtful selection...and simply well done! Our whole experience was memorable! We are already looking forward to the 2026 Christmas break!

So disappointed that the menus said kids below 6 age is free but was charged 9CAD for 2 and 4 year old. Waitress placed us at the centre of the dining area which isn't that suitable for kids.

The rooms are small and a bit dated but it's part of maintaining the charm of the original structure of the hotel which we adore and we don't spend much time in the rooms regardless so it all works out!

Went for a Spa day. It was a little bit confusing with not enough signs as to where the Spa actually was. Especially if it’s your 1st time. Had to call my friend who had been there to help me find the spot. They should add more signs. Otherwise Amazing location, beautiful view. Massage was great so thank you Samira Arrad. Headed over to the pool and then lunch. Will definitely be back again.

We came for a vacation between Christmas and New Year’s. We used almost all of the services in the resort, except for ice-skating. We found the facilities to be clean, the food was very good, the service was absolutely excellent. We also spent the day at the spa, which was very enjoyable and relaxing! The concierge services at the hotel went above and beyond to help arrange transportation for us to and from the resort and to help with booking the resort experiences.
