McHappy Day's is back in support of Ronald McDonald House Charities

Bringing together tasty food, vintage promotional items and upbeat music, McDonald's Canada invites Canadians to take part in the best day of the year: McHappy Day®! To celebrate the 28th McHappy Day on Wednesday, May 11, participating McDonald's restaurants across Canada will donate a portion of the proceeds from the sale of every food item and drink during the day to support local chapters of the Ronald McDonald Houses® (OMRM®) and other local children's charities.

How to support Big McDon on May 11?

This year, participating McDonald's restaurants across Canada will once again raise funds to help families with sick children in Canadian communities when they need it most.

Here are other ways to participate:

During Big McHappy Day on May 11, food and beverages sold throughout the day will help families with sick children thanks to the OMRM and local children's charities.

Customers can purchase their favorite menu items in-restaurant, at the drive-thru, on the McDonald's app and through McDelivery® with Uber Eats, Skip and DoorDash. McDelivery orders of $15 or more are eligible for free delivery (before taxes and other fees; see specific application for details).

In the weeks leading up to McHappy Day, McDonald's customers will be able to donate $2 and receive a McHappy Day Heart, while supplies last, which will be accompanied by a surprise video of thanks from McHappy Day. a variety of celebrities, Canadian athletes or families who have stayed at a Ronald McDonald House.

Can't make it to McDonald's? Customers can offer "A little more for the OMRM" on any order in a participating restaurant to benefit the OMRM throughout the year or visit omrm.ca to learn about other ways to offer their support.

Daily DJ performances in May to spread the joy across Canada

Music has long played an important role at OMRM in promoting well-being and happiness during difficult times; some local Mansions even offer music therapy programs led by certified music therapists. For this edition of McHappy Day, McDonald's Canada is leveraging the power of music to bring Canadians together and spread joy from coast to coast.

To do this, McDonald's Canada is partnering with DJs from across the country who will create their own upbeat montages of music, presented live daily during the month of May until McHappy Day. All Canadians will be able to get in the mood and listen to their favorite edit anytime, anywhere on McDonald's Canada's Spotify channel.
