Fast delivery: our restaurants on TV, a novelty in Beauport and refills at the Subway

Take a seat on board, we'll show you two new TV series featuring our chefs, followed in their daily lives, in addition to a new Chungchun branch in Beauport and a charging project for electric cars in Subway parking lots.

Let's start with the series on Prime Video, entitled "During this time in the kitchen", which follows the life of six Quebec restaurants. The chefs and owners of restaurants, such as Le Mousso and Arthus, will be presented in their frantic daily life, from the selection of ingredients to the creation of menus. The series offers a realistic view of the restaurant industry, far from the glorification often presented in the media. Viewers will be able to see behind the scenes of the kitchen and the challenges that restaurant owners face, especially during busy times. The series in eight 30-minute episodes is produced by Pixcom in association with Amazon Studios and joins a growing offer of Quebec content on Prime Video.

Moreover, the third season of the “Help requested” series, hosted by chef Louis-François Marcotte, is available on ICI Tou.tv Extra. This series follows entrepreneurs looking to get their restaurant back on track. Chef Marcotte accompanies the owners throughout the process. Eight episodes are available, including one where the chef hears from the owners of Binerie Chik in Trois-Rivières.

Subscriptions are required to view these series.

Let's continue with the Chungchun chain, which has announced the opening of its third branch in Quebec, this time in Beauport, where it hopes to win over new customers. Franchisee Jean-Paul Belmont, who opened his first address in the Sainte-Foy sector last August, is satisfied with the welcome received. The most popular “kogos” are those with cheddar and bacon and half-mozzarella and half-hotdogs, but Mr. Belmont wants to innovate with special “kogos”, such as poutine or breakfast type. At the Sainte-Foy branch, a kimchi and cucumber salad is also available. The franchisee even plans to open a fourth branch in Neufchâtel by the summer of 2023.

Let's end with a news from the Subway channel. It plans to build "Subway EV Charging Oasis" in various locations across the United States for electric vehicle drivers. These charging parks will offer amenities such as an internet area, restrooms, play areas and canopies with picnic tables. Subway is partnering with GenZ EV Solutions and RED E Charging to build these charging parks, which will be able to charge an electric vehicle over a distance of 195 km in 17 minutes for $20. The partner companies will take care of the charging aspect, the maintenance and the operating costs of the fast chargers. It is still too early to know where Subway plans to install these parks and if this concept will be extended to Canada.
