Fast delivery: the ideal sandwich and the highest restaurant in Montreal

Fast delivery: the ideal sandwich and the highest restaurant in Montreal

An American group has been looking into a very important food question over the past few months to reveal the ingredients that make up the perfect sandwich. We will reveal the whole thing to you a little further down. Also, we are going to show you the most perched restaurant in Montreal. Good reading!

First, it was a OnePoll survey for the Budding company that explored the tastes of American residents to identify the ingredients of the "perfect sandwich". Sandwiches of course remain very popular and we see variations in their content from person to person.

Thus, according to this survey, in which approximately 2000 people participated, the ultimate sandwich would be made of whole wheat bread, black forest ham, cheddar cheese, tomato and ketchup, and would be baked.

In fact, a recent study indicates that 67% of Americans could survive an entire week eating only sandwiches, and on average, an American eats four sandwiches a week.

Here are some more details from the survey:

Bread
Whole wheat: 37%
Sourdough: 36%
Multigrain: 33%

Meat
Black forest ham: 39%
Regular ham: 39%
Turkey with honey: 39%

Vegetable
Tomato: 54%
Onion: 54%
Cucumber: 51%

Condiment
Ketchup: 61%
BBQ sauce: 58%
Mayonnaise: 58%

Other preferences
27% like a sandwich with strong flavors
15% prefer a sweet sandwich
59% of people surveyed believe that the best time to eat a sandwich is outside of dinner time
38% agree that the best place to enjoy a sandwich is on the beach. 36% think it's at home, while 36% prefer to eat it at the park

Finally, it is the Hiatus restaurant, located on the 45th floor of Place Ville-Marie in Montreal, which offers a gastronomic experience with the most panoramic view in the city. The concept, developed by A5 Hospitality and Sid Lee Architecture, offers two distinct levels. The 45th floor houses a spacious café by day and turns into a cozy refreshment bar by night, offering wines, cocktails and small dishes.

On the 46th floor, you can enjoy cocktails and selected wines, as well as a Franco-Japanese menu prepared by chefs Yoann Therrer, Iari Prassi and Olivier Vigneault. The restaurant also offers private meeting rooms for various occasions.
