Festive atmosphere, mercado music, exploded menu… everything is there to be transported to the colorful alleys of Mexico City, where it all began for the young entrepreneurs of the Tequila Lounge: “It's a homecoming for Carolina and me , because we opened our first street canteen a few years ago in Mexico City, explains Ariane Robitaille, co-owner of the Tequila Lounge. This street stand even allowed us to pay for our wedding in Mexico and we were inspired to open the Tequila Lounge. With La Cantina, we can continue to do what we love the most in the world: introduce people from here to the magnificent Mexican culture through its authentic dishes, all with pleasure and respect for sanitary measures. Open from Friday to Sunday, between 12 p.m. and 7 p.m., La Cantina at the Tequila Lounge offers essential Mexican street food, homemade by a team of passionate people. Through the restaurant window, a variety of banderillas (Mexican pogos) are served, garnished with cheese as tradition dictates or with your choice of garnish such as chili con carne, choriqueso and mac and cheese. Also among the must, pizza boxes… filled with decadent tacos pimped to perfection, with a vegetarian option. Fancy a sweet snack? The churros puffs topped with chocolate coulis and dulce de leche are to die for! To accompany it all, micheladas and refreshing mocktails are meaningless!
