It's time to talk about the Tim Hortons restaurant chain, which has published news in the last few days, but also the restaurant Retro 50 which has new owners and the Au Petit Chalet chain which is now arriving in Quebec.
First, a “large Canadian study” recently revealed “interesting” statistics on the choices consumers make at the various Tim Hortons in Canada.
So which cities have the highest sales per capita? Lattes are most popular in Dorval, the only Quebec city to make the list. Otherwise, several cities in Ontario and British Columbia dominate for morning wrap, delight wrap, Tim Refresh, espresso, Americano and tea latte sales.
Also, the chain released the new SélecTim lunch menu at a very affordable price including three options: the new Timatin sandwich made with naturally smoked Canadian back bacon, the simply sausage Timatin and a classic bagel.
These tasty options are available for less than $3.
Then, the restaurant Rétro 50, well known in Rimouski, has two new leaders at its head. Roxane Meunier and Joannie Lavoie have indeed got their hands on the shares of the former majority partner to take full control.
The restaurant, which is open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner, will soon offer a slightly different menu. The new owners want to give the restaurant back its cachet of yesteryear, which has existed for 25 years now.
Finally, people from Quebec will be able to enjoy a breakfast menu throughout the day and evening thanks to the arrival of two branches of the Au Petit Chalet restaurant. The first will be located on Maguire Avenue and the second on Bouvier Street.
The first Au Petit Chalet restaurant is still in operation in Blainville.
In Quebec, it will be possible to eat a breakfast or a burger at any time of day and enjoy generous portions. The decor will easily recall a chalet in the Quebec countryside with a fireplace and woodwork in the spotlight!
