Fast delivery: overview of new restaurants

With the end of the year approaching, now is the time to take a first look at the gourmet novelties of 2021. We will discuss the new restaurant Le Parlementaire which, as its name suggests, is located in the Parliament of Quebec , from the Blaxton restaurant which will soon arrive at the Quebec City airport and we will end with the highly anticipated list of Air Canada magazine.

Let's start by talking about Parliamentarian, a restaurant which has just reopened its doors after two years of closure. Initially, it needed a makeover, but now the pandemic has delayed its reopening. The restaurant works jointly with the Institut de tourisme et d'hôtellerie du Québec (ITHQ) and has been in existence since 1917. It is definitely a place to discover.

Like its decor, the restaurant's menu has also changed. Bistronomy-type, there is a variety of products from Quebec, both in terms of food, wines and alcoholic beverages. These products appear with honor, throughout the year, at this exceptional table and the general public is invited to come and taste them.

Also in the old capital, it has been announced that a Blaxton restaurant-bar will be established at the Quebec City airport just in time for the beautiful 2022 season. It will be the fourth dining room of this chain in Quebec. It will cost $ 1 million to set up this concept at Jean-Lesage airport, where 160 seats are planned.

Typically offering a breakfast, lunch and dinner menu, it has not been possible to learn what will be officially offered at the airport at this time. The opening is planned more precisely for the month of May.

Finally, the enRoute magazine, available on Air Canada planes, publishes its highly anticipated list of the best new tables of the year each year. After an obvious break in 2020, the magazine is resuming its tradition.

We find three Quebec companies there:

- Best local cuisine: Ferme et Cuisine Bika by chef Fisun Ercan and located in Saint-Blaise-sur-Richelieu;

- Best pioneer restaurant: Tropikàl Restobar, from chef Jae-Anthony Dougan, which celebrates Caribbean, Afro-Latin and West African cuisines and located in the Saint-Henri district

- Market gardener of the year: Jardins Lakou, run by Jean-Philippe Vézina, who grows vegetables that are emblematic of Afro-Caribbean cuisine.
