Here we are in April, ready to present you with a new fast delivery! On the menu, the presentation of the new Jack le Coq, the new central cuisine of Coco Frutti and the maple week which is in full swing in Beauce.
First, a new chain of fried chicken just opened its first restaurant in Verdun just a few weeks ago. The idea came from Jacques Gaspo, nicknamed Jack le Coq, hence the name of his restaurant, who developed his fried chicken recipes thanks to his wife who bought a deep fryer for the house. Of course, everyone is familiar with fried chicken. But for Mr. Gaspo, the most important thing is to reinvent the recipes and create a “wow” in the eyes and mouths of customers. Over the next twelve months, he plans to open nearly ten years Jack le Coq and hopes to reach a hundred across Quebec thereafter.
Next, the Coco Frutti breakfast restaurant chain will invest a grand total of $ 4 million in the construction of a new building in the Sherbrooke industrial park that will serve as a central kitchen to supply its franchisees in Quebec and Ontario. President Noor Akbari points out that his team will also be able to supply other establishments or smaller restaurant chains. The building will also house the corporate headquarters and the air purifier manufacturing plant of AtmosC, also chaired by Mr. Akbari.
Finally, you only have until Sunday to enjoy Maple Week presented by Destination Beauce. This is the third edition of the event that honors maple and a dozen chefs who have prepared a special dish. “Once again, the chefs went above and beyond to celebrate the local richness of maple. Astonishing flavors and discoveries will be waiting for you! This is the perfect opportunity to take a break from cooking, enjoy a long-awaited restaurant outing and above all, encourage local restaurateurs! This year in particular, Maple Week is a real celebration for all of Beauce! », Expressed Marie-Émilie Slater, director of tourism development for Destination Beauce.
