Fast delivery: An anniversary, new KFC and a festival

In this new edition of Fast Delivery, we are pleased to wish a happy 30th anniversary to the Laurie Raphaël restaurant, to announce the return of PFK to the Quebec City region and to mark the start of the Quebec Table Gourmande festival.

Let's start with Laurie Raphaël who is celebrating her 30th birthday. For the occasion, the restaurant is offering a new website, imbued with the new colors of its new identity, while contributing to its notoriety and taking the time to underline its commitment to Quebec cuisine and all the terroir that surrounds it. .

Remember that this restaurant was founded in 1991 in the Old Port of Quebec by chef Daniel Vézina and his wife Suzanne Gagnon. The name is a "tribute" to the couple's children, Laurie-Alex and Raphaël. And guess what? The two children are now the Director and Executive Chef, respectively, of the Dalhousie Street Institution. More events to mark the 30th anniversary are expected to be announced in the coming months. It’s to be continued!

Then Colonel Sanders’s famous fast food chain, PFK, returns to the old capital after a two-year hiatus. A first establishment will open its doors in the coming days, while a second should do so after the holidays in January. At the time, it was a lack of resources on the part of the owners, in front of renovating the restaurants, which had brought about the disappearance of the KFCs from Quebec City and not a lack of customers. This time, a new owner has joined forces with the PFK brand and will restore it to its former glory.

Finally, the Quebec Table Gourmande festival is back for a fourth year, until November 21. It was under the theme My neighborhood, my plate that the 2021 edition got underway on November 5. About thirty restaurants in ten sectors of the city will offer a table d'hôte menu at a reduced price, that is, $ 40 or $ 60 per person or $ 60 for two people. Often, restaurateurs take the opportunity to put forward their star dish, the one for which their establishment is famous.
