After a $ 100 million investment, the Gourmet District opens its doors

After a $ 100 million investment, the Gourmet District opens its doors

Quebec City, Thursday, November 11, 2021 - Capwood officially opens the doors this week to its highly anticipated innovative food concept: the District Gourmet, located within HQ Sainte-Foy. From 5 p.m. on Wednesday November 17, the public will be able to taste Mlle Inès' burgers, bistronomic dishes from the Atrium, fine Asian cuisine from Thach, Lebanese dishes from Eden, fresh pasta from Fiorella, Portuguese chicken Grelha Lisboa and finally the Neapolitan pizza from Verace.

To these first shops installed in a bright and modern space which is the signature of this first Gourmet District, will be added, by the beginning of December 2021, La Plage (cocktail bar) and Helena (Portuguese gastronomy), and a little more late in January 2022, Kaiji (Japanese cuisine), Quartier (gourmet flexitarian cuisine), Mille Saveurs (specialties from the Gourmet District) and Mokaccino (Italian coffee). The Marché Carrier, the famous family grocery store in Pintendre, will open a second branch for the very first time, right in the heart of the Gourmet District at the very beginning of December.

The Gourmet District is innovative, a place of convergence of terroirs from here and elsewhere! We unveil a food court where we focus on the discovery of several flavors at the same time, without however resembling the food areas of known public places (food fair or food court). Contemporary decor welcomes visitors in an attractive and elegant ambience, making them want to sit down and linger. Indeed, the concept of the Gourmet District, despite the series of its many food counters, is based on top-of-the-range service, including service at the tables, as well as in the restaurant. Added to this is a distinctive and diverse gourmet offer offering a variety of local and international flavors.

Those who wish to enjoy the District Gourmet experience from the opening on Wednesday, November 17, can do so by reservation (ledistrictgourmet.ca) and in the evening only during the first two weeks of opening. After the fact and gradually, the establishment will be open to the public at longer time slots. The Take-Out counter will be open all week.

The unveiling of the Gourmet District marks the completion of the HQ Sainte-Foy construction project on Church Road in Sainte-Foy, which represents investments exceeding $ 100 million. This first HQ is an innovative real estate concept bringing together in one place 123 condos and a range of unique services, thanks to four Districts: Gourmet, Health, Services and Residential. With this very unique concept, Capwood is making concrete its ambition to serve the community intelligently by offering a range of services tucked away under one roof, thus limiting travel and increasing the quality of life for members of its community.

ABOUT HQ SAINTE-FOY
The QG Sainte-Foy is an innovative concept of 123 condos that integrates all the services within the building thanks to four districts: Gourmet, Health, Services and Residential. Representing an investment of approximately $ 100 million, including $ 40 million dedicated solely to the Gourmet District, Le QG Sainte-Foy is part of the revitalization of the Church Road and will create more than 250 permanent jobs. Over the next few years, Capwood intends to deploy its HQ concept in two other neighborhoods in Quebec City as well as in Montreal, Toronto and Ottawa.
