A few new things that have people talking in Quebec!

A few new things that have people talking in Quebec!

Assiduous readers of our Quick Deliveries should realize that new restaurants open quite regularly in Quebec and others, in operation for several years, win great prizes. The last few weeks have been no exception to the rule, as two new establishments are about to open their doors and another restaurant is placed in a renowned world ranking.
First, it is in Sherbrooke that the first Dickey's Barbecue Pit restaurant in Quebec will see the light of day. It will be located in the food complex next to the Costco store. The opening is scheduled for January 2023.
Until then, the franchisee Emmanuelle Parent must go to Dallas in order to familiarize herself with the recipes of the chain. It's that a concept like that of Dickey's is rather rare in Quebec and simply does not yet exist in Sherbrooke. This chain specializes in on-site smoked meat. The customer then chooses his meat and his accompaniments. Orders are made directly at the counter, fast-food style.
Then, the opening of Finfinettes, this space which includes a café, a shop and a workshop, takes place at the end of September in Granby. The café offers a vegetarian menu and partners with local producers. The shop sells beautiful objects, some of which were made by one of the owners who discovered a passion for homemade textile products from recycled fabrics. The workshop will offer training to help people produce their own products, such as soaps or dish towels.
Also, even though the hour of retirement had come for Jean Papadolias of the Connie's Pizza restaurant in Pointe-Saint-Charles, he could not resist the call of his loyal and former customers who asked him to come back behind his oven. pizza, to share with the new owners the recipe for the pizza that made the establishment famous.
These new owners, in place since May, had indeed modified the recipe and customers had stormed social networks to complain. Fortunately, it seems that this story will end well and that Mr. Papadolias will be able to return home to fully enjoy a well-deserved retirement.
Finally, it is the Resto Pub L'Estaminet, located for 35 years in downtown Rivière-du-Loup, which finds itself today with a Travellers' Choice 2022. This means that the restaurant is the one of the most popular according to visitors to the Tripadvisor site. This is a great mark of recognition for the owners and all the employees.
