Restaurant is so beautiful inside, and the food and cocktails were amazing. I got a p⭐️ martini and it was 10/10. But the only thing was that we had to wait over an hour to be seated. We had a reservation for 9pm and we were only seated at 10:13. Usually when restaurants make u wait a while when u had a reservation they accommodate you with some free drinks or maybe even finger food to eat but we ended up just waiting the whole hour without no one updating us at all.

The sushi was very good! The fish tasted fresh and the quality was very good. The decor is also very pretty and dark and the atmosphere created by the dj was nice! The service was also great our server Tarryn was very sweet.
High-end pricing for terrible service. Unless you are a certain race, they will not welcome you, let alone, wanna serve you. Ironic as this is a Japanese-themed restaurant, and we were the only asians lol.
Food was fresh and delicious and the atmosphere was warm and chic ! Cant go there looking crazy, definitely on the high end side. I love it if you want to eat good and treat yourself with a good time , also great for a date night with your partner , birthday dinner or special occasion. Dj plays good music as well 10/10! Special shoutout to our server Alexia, she was so kind and we had great conversations. We laughed a lot haha
Sushis were excellent
Best sushi I have ever had by far, certainly in Montreal. Sashimi melts in your mouth. Stunning ambience, great bar. Overall an exceptional experience!
Yubari is a small Japanese restaurant tucked into the heart of the Old Port that delivers a surprisingly refined dining experience. The first thing that stands out is the atmosphere. The space is compact, but the tables are thoughtfully arranged, which keeps the room from feeling crowded. The layout creates a comfortable flow where conversations remain intimate rather than drowned in noise. The low lighting adds warmth, and the presence of a live DJ gives the restaurant a subtle lounge energy without overpowering the dining experience. The food is excellent. Each dish is carefully prepared and beautifully presented, with the kind of balance and precision you expect from a high-quality Japanese kitchen. The menu manages to feel both refined and approachable, making it easy to explore a few different plates. Service is another highlight. The waiters and waitresses are attentive and genuinely helpful when it comes to recommendations. They guide you through the menu with confidence and enthusiasm, which makes the experience feel personal rather than transactional. Overall, Yubari is a great spot if you are looking for excellent Japanese cuisine in a stylish but relaxed setting. The combination of outstanding food, thoughtful service, and a well-curated atmosphere makes it one of the more enjoyable dining experiences in the Old Port.
Lena was great service kept our allergy friend alive even though we wanted to eat all of the menu. Thank you so much💖💖
Amazing service, food and ambiance. We went there for an important celebration, and we were treated with warmth, generosity and care. Free drinks and desserts were incredible, and a testament to the restaurant's thoughtfulness. We were glad we created time, in our busy lives, and decided to come here. We will come back!
Great quality food with a lot of thoughts in the menu, nice stuff taking care of your needs, also nice ambiance :)
Food was amazing celebrate my birthday was fun recommend it
love it!
Great sushi, amazing quality, very friendly service!
We celebrated my son’s birthday at Yubari at the end of February 2026, and it was truly a wonderful experience from start to finish. The sushi was absolutely amazing, incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The Chicken Karaage was just as impressive, perfectly crispy on the outside, tender and juicy inside, and seasoned to perfection. The atmosphere made the evening feel even more special, warm, stylish, and welcoming, perfect for a family celebration. A special thank you to Frederike, who was extremely attentive throughout the night. She took the time to explain the menu in detail and offered excellent recommendations that made our choices easy and spot on. And we can’t forget the Trompe l’oeil noisette which was a delightful and unexpected surprise that added a creative and memorable touch to the evening. Overall, Yubari delivered an unforgettable birthday dinner. We’ll definitely be back ! Until then here is a joke: What did the sushi say to the bee ? Wasabi ?
This Japanese restaurant offers an excellent dining experience overall. The food was outstanding — the lobster pasta was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had, the maki selection was delicious, and the drinks were equally impressive. The space itself is beautiful and creates a great atmosphere for a night out. However, service felt slightly uneven during our visit. We were celebrating a birthday, and while expectations don’t need to be extravagant, nothing was acknowledged or offered, which felt like a missed opportunity in a restaurant of this level. Additionally, one of the manager appeared to focus most of their attention on what seemed to be VIP guests, spending a large portion of the evening conversing with one table at the bar next to our table and could only hear their conversation the whole time. That said, the quality of the food and ambiance remain exceptional, and with more consistent attention to all guests, the overall experience could truly match the level of the cuisine.
Located inside St.Paul hotel. Very nice. Lunch time is quiet wirh availability. The lunch time seating is quiet. Evening more active.
I go regularly to this restaurant and the food is always great as well as the atmosphere. Great venue to celebrate and the music is low enough to allow easy discussions.
I had a wonderful experience at this sushi restaurant. The quality of the food was exceptional — every roll was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. You can truly taste the freshness of the ingredients in every bite. The staff were equally impressive. They were warm, attentive, and very professional, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Their recommendations were thoughtful and added to the overall experience. The drink selection was also excellent. The alcohol menu offered a great variety, from perfectly paired sake to refreshing cocktails, all served with care and elegance.Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience. I would definitely return and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates great sushi, outstanding service, and a refined atmosphere.
