Reviews / Ratings for Yokato Yokabai Ramen
The best ramen in Montreal!
They have 2 names for the same building, this one is more of a fast eat and go. Only ramens with sides. On the other side ichigo ichie I has the full menu with appetizers and drinks. Service is top notch. Vibe is good. Food is not as good as they say but still good! I would come back
Delicious ramen, was it worth a 1.5 hour wait? Not sure. And not cheap! Interior was cute and service was excellent.
Very cozy and amazing broth.
Ramen are very good, I recommend trying
My favorite ramen in Montreal. The broths are thick and flavorful. Love the gluten free and vegan options. Still I miss the green ramen noodles. The karaage its ok. The waiters are nice. Just consider that depending on the day of the week and time you attend it could take from immediate service up to 1 hour 20 minutes to get a table (since the ramen space is quite small). There's also the other side that is like the bar side where they serve the ramen but also other dishes and drinks. That side is also really nice.
The Black sesame ice cream slaps.
Delicious wonderful perfect
The ramen tasted great. The portion and amount of meat you get is good. It comes with soy sauce, chili oil, pickled radish, and pickled ginger.
Excellent ramen spot that consistently delivers both quality and atmosphere. Yokato Yokabai has a really authentic feel from the moment you walk in, with a cozy and lively setting that adds to the overall experience. The ramen itself is outstanding, rich, flavorful broth, perfectly cooked noodles, and well-prepared toppings that all come together really well. You can tell a lot of care goes into each bowl. The menu offers a good variety, so there’s something for everyone whether you like something lighter or more rich and hearty. Service is efficient and friendly, even when it gets busy, which it often does for good reason. Overall, a must-visit if you’re craving high-quality ramen in Montreal.
Simple to order and tasty ramen
Went to Yokato Yokabai Ramen with 2 others. Expect a long wait (2–3 hours)—the website is misleading since it’s basically always busy. Best move is to put your name down and come back later. Inside is very cramped—small, wobbly tables, and no clear jacket rack (if there was one, it wasn’t obvious and no one offered it), so you end up keeping your coat on and it gets hot quickly. Food was good but not amazing, especially for the wait. They also forgot our drink, which took a while to arrive. Overall, decent ramen, but not really worth the long wait and tight space.
It was the worst Ramen I ever had. As someone who loves ramen, this one is just a hype. Waited for 1hr 30mins to be seated; waited almost 30mins to have the ramen. I ordered Tonkotsu, it was bland and broth was too concentrated. I rather enjoy an instant ramen at home. It's clearly not for me!
1 Star!!!! Because of waitress There were some empty seats but he did not take us in although we were on waitlist. He said just go some restaurants pubs and we will text you. If you are like this, you will definitely lose customers!
Delicious! Very reminiscent to my favorite Japanese resto in Toronto - Yuugi! It's on par!
Truly confused by the Michelin recommendation. Having lived in Asia, who moved to Toronto 3 for 3 years, this was easily the worst ramen experience I've had in my life. We waited for 20 minutes after we put in the order. The noodles were soggy/overcooked and the broth was incredibly bland. Save your money and go to Kinton instead. Fried chicken was fine. Not recommended.
Teriyaki is very delicious. Ramen noodle is good.
Best Ramen i've had outside of Japan hands down. MUST TRY !
Where do I start… This is probably the best round one I’ve ever had in my entire life! Outside of Japan - 🤩 wow
Honestly, the ramen was not exactly bad but the place is very overrated. For the price and the 'reputation' the noodles were tasteless and the broth was excessively greasy. They also have us a table for 2 looking at a wall. I can take that but at least put some effort in the lighting, the atmosphere was bad. Edamame was excessively salty as well. Nothing to complain about service.
Ramen was cold.
The food was good but our ramens were not hot at all, like almost room-temperature, which makes no sense considering the premium price
Premium traditional Japanese ramen experience. The food tasted great and is well prepared.
The best ramen in town!
