Rated it 4 stars as service was good but not excellent. Our waiter wasn't actively listening to our request, to allow us time to enjoy our cocktails with the calamari. We then asked the salads br served before the main course. We had to mention it several times so we can enjoy our steaks with our wine. The food was excellent, stakes cooked to perfection. We may have had an off night with our waiter who was very nice but not efficient.

Very nice restaurant ! I ordered a poutine there, it was the best I ate ! The service is perfect and the outside with the sun is so perfect to take time to enjoy.

Did a private event with 34 people in one of their private areas. Was absolutely amazing!!! The food was on point, service was over the top amazing, Elizabeth was a pleasure to work with figuring out logistics (given it was being planned from Toronto) would 1000% recommend. All our guests were satisfied and I couldn’t be happier. Look forward to doing business here again!

You cannot go wrong with the Bone-in Ribeye accompanied by their signature Shallot Sauce! The truffle mushroom risotto was heavenly as well! Absolutely loved my experience here - especially with the incredible attention from our server, Monosh. Highly recommend Vieux Port Steakhouse for an elegant and elevated experience, with exceptional food and views.

Walked in expecting a tourist trap — Old Montreal terrasse, Grand Prix weekend, prime cobblestone real estate. Wasn’t. Service was meh, 3/5. Slow, distracted, nothing offensive but nothing dialed in either. Food though — actually good. Fish cooked right, not drowned in sauce. Sweet potato fries crisp and seasoned. Caesar fresh, real croutons, generous parm. Even the wild rice had texture. Bonus: perfect spot for people-watching and soaking up the weather. Skip the service expectations, order the fish. Food 4.5 · Service 3 · Better than it had any right to be.

We stopped there during our bicycle ride. The staff permitted us to park our bicycles next to our table on the patio which was greatly appreciated.
