Had two chai lattes and a slice of chocolate cake here the other day. The cake was interesting with a jam filling and the lattes were decent but lacking in chai really. Overall it felt like worth visiting again to try out more things at least.
Reviews / Ratings for Velora Café Pâtisserie - Café, Pâtisserie Montréal
Atmosphere is nice, service is nice, the cakes are quite nice. Just the food isn't really that good, it looks good but the taste is disappointing. Still, good spot to stop by and get coffee / dessert, just not a proper meal.
This cafe is so charming! The vibe is so low key and relaxed, the decor is so tasteful, the food and beverages are original and delicious and the owners are super kind and welcoming. Their pistachio latte is amazing.
I had one of the worst experiences of my life here. I don't know if it was the first few days they opened and they weren't ready yet or something else, but the three-milk cake was very poor quality and the espresso coffee was very bad. The barista was clearly not skilled, the grinder and espresso machine were not adjusted, and the fenugreek seeds were not a good choice either.
The interior of this place feels magical and regal, with a vast selection of aromatic teas and coffees, along with sweet, moist cakes (their saffron cakes are to die for), it's the perfect spot to work or study. A true gem. Service is dull and inattentive. 3.33 *
Try the saffron cake, solid choice, great energy. Officially my new coffee spot.
I came when they first opened and I got the worst cappuccino of my life at the time (has since been surpassed by one other outside a train station). They could have had a customer for life but they spent a little too much time steaming the milk, and a little less time learning how to make coffee. If I had a dollar for every time I thought about going back to get a nice latte or dessert, I would have enough to buy another trash cappuccino and regret it again.
I have recently moved to Montreal, and was really happy to have heard this is a Persian inspired cafe. I will be honest, we enjoyed all the desserts we got. The taste, texture, and flavour was just lovely. Drinks were good as well. We also shared a few of the food items, which again really liked. But what was lacking was manners and service that ruined the whole experience for me. Reading the other reviews, I see that people compliment the service. So maybe it was just our luck to receive a distasteful server with bad manners. I would encourage a better service to all customers. That being said, I will be back again and giving this place another chance.
I enjoyed my time there with delicious raspberry chocolate cake and tea !
I have visited this cafe once with my friends by chance and I was pleasantly surprised. The service workers are nice, respectful and quick. The atmosphere is chill and relaxing. They even have specific place to study/work. Most importantly, I AM IN LOVE WITH THEIR DULCE DE LECHE LATTE!!! Also, their cakes look so tasty and I appreciate how they have a Persian twist on their drinks/food. I definitely recommend others to check this place out!
Love it !
The saffron late and the Dulce de lèche cake. I need new words to describe the deliciousness.. seriously wow
The desserts are seriousl so delicious!!
Delicious food, it might be a bit expensive compared to the portion. Amazing vibe.
I loved everything about the place, the atmosphere, interior design, fabulous menu, kind employees and above all, the tastes that they create. I never knew pistachio latte could taste so magical. Pastries were so fresh that melted my mouth. The Dutch Baby Shakshuka was so great too. This place is a must go in montreal.
It has a cozy and beautiful atmosphere, and the staff are super friendly. The desserts and drinks are delicious, and the whole place has such a warm vibe. Definitely worth visiting.
A spacious café for Persian-inspired brunch and pastries. The decor and ambience were lovely. We came here early on a weekend so we were seated quickly, however, it got quite busy during lunch time! The signature here is their Tres Leches Cakes — we ordered the Tres Leches Rose & Cardamom Tea cake, a pistachio latte, and an herbal infusion tea. We really enjoyed the cake; there was a beautiful floral note and a real depth to the flavours. Will definitely be back to try their brunch menu!
This is without exaggeration the best new place we have discovered in a year. Everything was amazing, the spacious atmosphere allows for great conversation without feeling overstimulated. All the food, drinks and dessert we ordered were a solid 10/10. Super fresh and tasty. The service was also impeccable, the owner is very kind and welcoming. Will definitely recommend this place.
I just found this place today for the first time and honestly I’m really happy I did. It already feels like somewhere I’d come back to again. Everything was great, the cakes, the vibe, the overall feeling of the place. I have to mention the pistachio cake, it was really fresh and light and honestly perfect with Iranian tea. My friend got the chocolate cake and I tried it too, it had hazelnut pieces inside and tasted really good. The atmosphere felt cozy and comfortable, just a nice place to sit and enjoy your time. Even though it was busy, they handled everything really well. The staff were friendly and kind, very easy to talk to, and you could tell they actually care about their customers. It made the experience feel even better.
Everything was great
In business, especially during busy hours, anyone can make mistakes. What matters is how you treat and respect your customers and this café did exactly that with us. They were very polite and had great taste. The baklava cake and latte were excellent! And I don’t even need to mention how beautiful and pleasant the atmosphere of the café was
Really disappointing experience. The customer service was poor from start to finish. What frustrated me the most was the misleading tactic they used — they advertised a free cake, and when I called to confirm, they clearly said it would be honored. But when I arrived, the story completely changed. Suddenly, I was told I had to buy two drinks or only get half a slice. That’s not just bad service — it feels dishonest. If there are conditions, be upfront about them. Don’t say one thing over the phone and then switch it up in person. Definitely not a place I’d trust or recommend.
Pistachio latte was great
Cool vibe at place best for breakfast and if you do have a sweet tooth. Loved the staff and ambience of the restaurant.
oh my god. i found my place. as in my go-to that would instantly cheer me up: with their delicious signature tres leches, their insanely yummy flat white (u won’t find lighter or fluffier flat white), and their lovely service, velora is such a stand out to me. especially because (yay) they have a place for laptops and for people looking to work/write. incredible! i have yet to try out their savory options but their sweet options are to DIE FOR. a must-try if you’re ever around the area. their prices are also soooo affordable that i could easily order three or four times without feeling like i’ve broken the bank. in this economy, this is everything. also PLEASE try out their pistachio latte. it’s a little sweet but soooo worth it!
