Last night was a truly beautiful Brazilian jazz experience. The vibes were warm, elegant, and full of soul. It felt less like a bar and more like a small theater, with everyone fully focused on the music. The silence in the room was remarkable, not because the crowd was distant, but because there was deep respect and real appreciation for the band. Every note was received with attention and emotion. The musicians were outstanding, both technically and artistically, and they created a magical connection with the audience. It was one of those rare nights where music takes over the room and time simply slows down.

Went to Upstairs while visiting Montreal in December 2025 and had an amazing experience! we saw diavinci's code :) Absolutely recommend coming here!

Visited Upstairs Jazz bar during a 48 hour trip to Montreal, atmosphere was wonderful and service was great. Food and drink prices were reasonable. Overall a great experience and would 100% go again; and recommend a friend to go here.

Great food and service. The vibe and the music were awesome. One comment is that the singer was too loud at times shouting . I think in an intimate venue with a low ceiling it would have been a bit more pleasant on the ears if his mic was turned down a bit. Overall a great evening.

Everything was perfect; the service, the ambiance, the food/drinks .... and the music form that Trio (Alex, Rémi-Jean and Aaron) was amazing. We will come back for sure !!!

We didn't eat so I didn't rate the food but it looked great! We sat at the bar for the concert and it was so lovely. The bar staff were freindly and it was comfortable. The whole stage was hard to see where we were (end of the bar) but there was a video screen where we could watch the musicians. Lovely detail to have that. It was a wonderful night!!! the musicians were stellar!

New Year's eve party. Beautifully decorated, the chef out did himself, as always wonderful service. Great choice of band. I can't wait to go back!!!!
