An amazing experience we had there !! From the atmosphere, food and service , everything was exceptional! The music wasn’t too loud so you can talk, the decor is very cozy and tasteful and makes you feel your somewhere in Greece, the food was full of flavours, from the appetizers to the main dishes to the dessert and drinks ! We had some dips with fresh pita for starters, then had the grilled octopus , grilled shrimps to share, then had the grilled pork chops and kefta , all of it was just wow ! For cocktail you need to take Minos ! The service with charlotte and Adrian was on point even it added warmth to our first time there! I definitely recommend that restaurant and will come back there and try others items from the menu !! Montreal needs more restaurants like this one nowadays !!!

Very small portions. Quality is average. Grilled Octopus was good. Service was very good. But overall its overpriced.

This was my third visit to Mati and every time I am blown away by the amazing quality of the food and attentive service. We shared the watermelon salad, the flambe cheeze, the grilled octopus, tzaziki with pita, the branzino and brocolinis topped with flan for desert. Every bite was more delicious than the last, pure delight. The service was impecable and warm and the setting is beautiful. I could not resist taking home a pastitsio home for lunch tomorrow. A gem of a restaurant, can't wait to go back. Visited again on a friday afternoon for a late lunch and the food is always divine and service excellent (thank you Charlotte)

I would love to be able to recommend Mati - the food is fantastic and service is very good. But one aspect was so unpleasant that I need to mention: the loud music. We went for an early dinner (6 pm, not party time), and music playing at that time was just on the verge of being too loud. It was was interesting music and no too intrusive at that point. Mid way through our dinner, they started playing loud, pulsing lounge music, inappropriate to the enjoyment of a good meal in good company. I eventually mentioned it to the staff and they turned it down 10 mins later. My preference is for music that contributes to a good, warm, comfy atmosphere, so unfortunately, I don't plan to be back.

Enjoyed a very nice meal here. Food and service were excellent. They were able to accommodate our low salt diet, by recommending my dishes to suit. The grilled octopus was very good and the lamb “fell” off the bone and was extremely tender. Altogether a great experience!

Excellent restaurant! The staff particularly Sophia were brilliant and the menu catered perfectly with almost every option being already gluten free for the coeliac in our group. The baklava espresso martini was a highlight. Definitely purchase the saganaki it was an absolute show stopper!

I went for my birthday - we were a group of 6 and everyone loved it. The food was out of this world, it reminded me of my time in Crete. The cocktail I tried was also on point. Service was good and I even got a birthday desert which was a nice touch. The space is beautiful and tastefully designed with a light airy minimal Mediterranean aesthetic I would definitely go back!

Fantastic meal. Two of the three of us have Celiac and there are GF options here. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. We’ll be back.

Amazing, authentic Greek restaurant! The service, food and drinks were incredible. We had the lamb chops, octopus, and Mediterranean sea bass everything was unreal. Honestly, the food was to die for🤍

Loved our meal here!! When we checked into the Uville Hotel they recommended it and we decided to go and dang that was an amazing meal. We were so glad we took her up on this recommendation. We got two dips (eggplant and tzatziki), two people in my group shared a large meat dish + green beans and I got the fried eggplant dish (incredible and I’m a vegetarian so it was nice they had good options). I also got a Greek salad that we all shared. It’s a great menu for sharing. Highly recommend!!

I was just up in the city over New Years and had such a nice time dining at Taverne. It was a cold night and the atmosphere couldn’t have been more warm and inviting. Our server Sofia was amazing, she gave us great tips on the menu and we worked our way through all the courses and selections. Everything was delicious and the beet salad and octopus were best ever conversations for me.

A truly upscale Greek gastronomy experience. The food menu is designed with careful consideration for taste and variety. There were a lot of options for me as a vegetarian. I chose the lentil soup, the insalata dip and the crispy eggplants. All were truly delicious and well portioned. At the bar, the bartender Felix is exceptional in service and hospitality with great suggestions and perfectly mixed drinks. I would highly recommend everyone to try this place out

This was one of my favourite Greek restaurants in the Montreal - the old manager Billy was great !! However, we left really disappointed our last time. The portion and quality of their dishes have really decreased. The lamb chops were very small, the saganaki was not properly cooked (tasted purely of ouzo) and the octopus was really disappointing in size. It didn’t feel like the same restaurant it was a couple of months ago… I will say - service was great and Charlotte was amazing.
