the server was so very nice and kind, i really like how they talk to you in such a calm voice and especially to the one who accomodate us. Her name is Evren and she is so kind and pleasant. Highly recommended to come here again with friends or family.

My friend and I went for lunch while I was in Montreal. We love sushi and have had issues finding really good sushi place. Well. We found one. We will definitelly be returning in the future. From the atmosphere to the food to the service, everything hit the check boxes we were looking for. We went upstairs tonthe sushi bar. We will try thr BBQ on the main level next time.

The food would be good — if it ever came. I would not recommend it for big groups. We were a party of six, and everything other than the sushi arrived within less than 10 minutes, yet 1 hour and 30 minutes into the meal, we still had not received any of the sushi we ordered. We eventually had to speak with the manager to ask what was going on. In the end, the sushi finally arrived, but only after a lot of insistence. By that point, we were already full from the appetizers and too frustrated by having to practically beg for our food to fully enjoy it. I hope management fixes this issue, as I see a lot of potential.

I went to the sushi floor, it was a decent experience with the projections and everything. Although I would have liked those projection to not change theme every 5 minutes, I would have been fine with the aquatic theme running for the entirety of the meal. However like many reviews before mine, the food was quite ordinary. Not a very wide selection and not a very high quality. For 40$, I expect a bit more variety. Also, I highly suggest they improve the menu experience. Have the images more closely reflect the portion offered, would be appreciated to avoid confusion. And speaking of portion, if I order wasabi, I expect to receive enough wasabi to cover my entire meal, instead I received a 25cent sized plop of wasabi and I was just like ???? really?? do I need to order 1 wasabi for every 3 sushi I plan on eating? I also ordered some fried squid and I received literally 1 ring. In most places if you ordered something that isn't a sushi or maki, you get a reasonable portion of that meal. I ordered more of what I wanted since it's all you can eat obviously, but it gives the impression of a restaurant attempting to shave cash at every opportunity, it's annoying to order something, wait, get sooo little of it that you have to re-order it and wait again. Have bigger portions, have those portions being represented in the pictures of your menus, and it would improve the experience. Overall, decent experience, I have 2 kids, so if I ever want sushi with them, it would be a good option since they would have things to watch and appreciate the ambiance, but in term of wanting good sushis, based on my current experience, I know better places in MTL. It's brand new though so hopefully they address some of those things in the future, im not closed to returning

We had Sam as a waiter and he made sure that we always had our food and checked in on us throughout the night. He made the night much more enjoyable. Overall the experience was fantastic, the food was amazing, and the atmosphere was great. We will definitely be coming back. (Table T3)

We went there for the all you can eat sushi. The service and how the food was coming to the table was really nice and fast. Ordering through the tablets was easy. The quality and the size of the sushi were great. The fish was fresh. It’s on the pricey side for sure, especially on the weekends. But I would still recommend it.

We went for the all you can eat bbq, service was amazing, my table was quickly cleared of empty trays and my water was always full. The staff were super friendly too! The food was delicious, and the cake for dessert was a huge portion compared to any other all you can eat restaurant I've been to, and delicious!

Amazing food. Incredible quality and just right for the price. Taste is delicious and they do not skim out on portions. The service is also veryyyy fast. Tony is an incredible server and he was very helpful and answered all of our questions. Highly recommend it❤️

We went yesterday for my stepdad’s birthday and were presently surprised. The decor was amazing. It was very immersive and intimate and we were captivated by the projections on the walls and floors. It is a visually stunning place. When it came to the food, we usually go to other AYCE sushi places nearby, and our favorite before was Manga Sushi, but Taiyo was just so much better! All of the food was extremely flavourful and fresh. Not a single item wasn’t fresh. We very much enjoyed everything that we ordered. Our only slight complaint was the time that it took to make the sushi rolls we ordered. We ordered some and they showed up 20-30 minutes later, but we get that they’re in their ‘soft opening’ as mentioned when walking in, so we expected some slight delays. Our waitress, Rochelle/Rachelle was an absolute sweetheart and was very helpful in explaining how things worked and in refilling our water regularly and in clearing our plates promptly. We will definitely be returning!

Great experience overall! The food was delicious and well presented, but what really stood out was the service. Rachel took amazing care of us—she was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our visit. Her excellent service truly made the meal even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Waited weeks for my reservation and they just cancelled it for “ internal adjustments” now the next opening is a month away. No discount on my next visit, no trying to get me rebooked earlier. Very bad impression

Today was my first visit to the restaurant (centre ville); I was so impressed with the food quality, fast service and amazing staff. We were sitting in the section of Ms. Katrine, Ms. Juana and Mr. Swesing, they were very helpful, knowledgeable and very friendly. I’ll be back with my family soon for sure 👍
