When I first saw the prices on the menu, I wasn’t surprised. I assumed I was about to experience something exceptional and truly unique. Unfortunately, once the service started, it became clear that it was very ordinary and nowhere near the level the prices suggested. There was a significant lack of organization and management throughout the service. What was even more disappointing was noticing that many items were being pre-prepared in the kitchen for later service hours. In my opinion, this goes against the very essence of what a fresh sushi experience should be. For a restaurant charging premium prices, I expected much higher standards in both service and food preparation

Tayo is definitely a fun spot with a great vibe, but it is loud. This is not the place for a quiet, relaxing dinner. It’s better suited for groups or a casual, low-pressure date night. We went with our three kids because they were excited about the robots and the train, which is a big part of the restaurant’s appeal. Unfortunately, we left with a very disappointed 7-year-old. The robot only came to our table once, and that was after we specifically asked our server. The train never came by at all. I have to admit we were all disappointed because the robots and train were the main reason we chose to go. On the positive side, the food was very good and service was incredibly fast. That said, if you don’t get the full experience, it’s hard to justify the hype and the price. The concept is what makes this place special, and when that part is missing, it feels like you’re paying a premium for an experience you didn’t actually get.

The service is very fast and effective. Staff very friendly. The menu: freshness, variety and so many options.. great place to come has a group or for a date. Highly recommend that place. Will come back again soonn

Been here twice so far for the AYCE sushi. Would love to go more often, but they are booked pretty far ahead. This is definitely in the top, maybe even the best all you can eat sushi in town. The food is the star of the show. They have some great sashimi and everything else is tasty, fresh & comes out quick. The service is courteous and efficient. The decor is well thought of and the ambiance is intimate. Do not skip on the desserts, the cakes are delicious.

The floor for the sushi buffet had a nice atmosphere and setting, everything was decorated nicely. Food was also good but the only issue was that the service was very slow. We ordered several items that we wanted to try but none of them came. We went for lunch on Thursday afternoon, there weren’t much people and there was 5-7 people working in the kitchen but the service was still slow. Overall it was a nice place to take pictures but for the price and slow service, I wouldn’t be coming back.

Words cannot describe how great of an experience we had, our waiter Ryan made sure we were good & above and beyond. Him and the manager XingXing provided great service and the best drinks for the occasion, the ambiance, the food, the delivery of the food, the quality is better than any other all you can eat. If I had to give over 5/5 I would & the place is so beautiful. Thank you so much guys!

This is a relatively new 3 floor complexe offering Corean BBQ 🍖 at the first floor, all you can eat sushi 🍣 on the second floor in a very nice and animated manga setting with projections all arround. Food is very fresh and delicious 😋, service once you are here us pretty good but their reservation system is a bit confusing and often says sold out when it isen't so I would suggest just walking up and checking especially during lunch and awkward hours service they will often be able to find you a table. Top floor should be an Izakaya opening soon.

The food was quality and the service was really fast and friendly! I'm not rating it higher because it was really off putting how much AI slop was on the screens. If you're going to make huge screens a major feature of your restaurant, put something decent. The (non AI) anime clips were fun!

Unfortunately, you pay for repetitive led screens, very lengthy service, and super mid food that comes to not the right temperature. Do yourself a favor and pick another restaurant and don't let the looks fool you.

I was there on Friday during F1 grand prix. I didn't book any table and went randomly and just waited barely half an hour to get in. By far the best sushi all fresh tasty. Atmosphere is nice and service was quite fast. I recommend it you won't be disappointed

Our experience at Taiyo Cité was honestly beyond amazing — easily one of the best AYCE Japanese restaurants we’ve ever tried. As people who seriously love eating and are always on the hunt for good eat-all-you-can spots, this place is an absolute gem. 100/10 without hesitation. Everything we ordered was incredibly fresh and flavorful. The meats were tender, juicy, and tasted even better once grilled. You can really tell the quality of the ingredients here. And the calamari? Absolutely to die for. We loved it so much that the five of us ended up ordering around 55 pieces! That alone says everything. Their sushi and maki were also impressively fresh, beautifully prepared, and packed with flavor. Every dish we tried was just the perfect balance for our palate — nothing felt overly salty or overwhelming, just genuinely delicious from start to finish. The atmosphere made the experience even better. The interior screams Japanese anime culture in the best way possible and honestly reminded me of my trip to Japan. I especially loved the Gundam displays and all the little details around the restaurant. For anime lovers, this place is definitely a must-visit. On top of the amazing food and ambiance, the staff were all incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay. You can feel the good energy the moment you walk in. If you’re looking for a Japanese BBQ and sushi AYCE spot in Montreal, this place deserves all the hype. We’re already talking about coming back.

Cool experience for sushi, great setting that feels great. Service was amazing and they took a lot of care. Probably missing some basic menu options like sunomono salad or tuna sashimi (only really had salmon). It’s an all you can eat, which we only realized when we got there but there were enough options to keep us happy. Price was $55 each because it was Friday to Sunday.

For this style of restaurant AYCE - we were really impressed with not only the quality of the food but also the variety of options. We came with our 4 year old and she had a blast with the BBQ experience as well as the automated service, robots and screens and gundams to look at. Your staff took great care of us and made for a really fun experience. We will definitely be back!
