I landed in Montreal for work around 8pm and was searching for delicious and healthy options near the airport and found this gem! The kebab plates (both chicken and beef) are next level delicious and the best Persian food I’ve had to date. I ended up coming a second time on my way back to the airport and the tangy chicken kebab plate with rice and salad was amazing. Will be coming back on my next trip to Montreal!

Small restaurant, reserve in advance even for small groups. The food was delicious, very flavorful and fresh. The staff, although seems understaffed in a Friday evening, was very cordial, friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend it.

Service was great! The food was a festival of tastes! The staff members were so kind and attentive! We go there from time to time and the service is consistently excellent. Our favourite restaurant. Go with a combo and try different dishes!!!

I have just been wowed!! Tried the Barg (beef) and the Jooje (chicken breast) and loved them both very much. Rice - excellent and not greasy Meat - tender and great quality flavour Chicken - outstandingly delicious Salad - light and dances on the palate Service - super friendly Sweet Saffron Rice dessert - Wow! Ambiance - relaxing background music Cleanliness - All was clean and amazing I need to go back soon. Thank you Shali for this wonderful food experience! ❤️😀👍🏻

Honestly, compared to other restaurants, the food didn’t taste that special. The koobideh was the only thing that tasted pretty good. For dessert, we ordered baklava with tea. The tea was really fragrant and tasty, but the baklava was awful — like, so bad that I almost wanted to tell them we didn’t want it anymore. As for the service, the restroom was dirty, which is honestly surprising for an Iranian place. Also, there wasn’t even a single napkin on the table, so you had to ask the staff for one. Overall, I’d give it about a 3 out of 5.

An amazing authentic and wonderful Persian restaurant on des Sources blvd ❤️❤️ We made reservations for my mother’s birthday and upon entering the venue saw many families and friends enjoying the food of the restaurant 😇😇 The staff was super welcoming and answered all our questions about the food ! We started with complimentary Barley soup which was incredibly tasty ❤️❤️ For the main dishes we opted for the BBQ Flame-Cooked Meats as my mom had the Tender Barbecue Chicken Thighs while I had the Tangy Chicken Kabab (breast) and each meal came with saffron rice and salad with the BBQ Tomato. Each bite was a gourmet’s delight and super delicious and our full compliments to the chef 🙏🙏 For dessert we shared a Baklava and it was just as amazing ❤️❤️ Cannot wait to come back with the entire family and friends to this 10/10 venue and try other items in its excellent menu 😇😇 MORE UPDATES: Went with my friends and had wonderful lentil soup followed by very tasty and delicious chicken dishes ❤️❤️ For dessert we all had the saffron ice cream and it was heaven on earth 😇😇

I truly can’t say enough about our experience at Shali. We went last night to celebrate my dad’s 76th birthday; we ordered Soltani plates, jooje kabab, mast o musir, kashke bademjan- every plate was better than the next. We all agreed that their kabab barg was BY FAR the best we’ve ever had; it was so tender & juicy, truly perfection. Their kubideh was just as outstanding. All the appetizers were made with love, you could taste it. The service was amazing! Everyone was so warm, helpful & welcoming; they made you feel right at home💚🤍❤️‍🩹 I wish I had asked for our waitresse’s name, she was so sweet and had the warmest laugh! They served our food in a timely manner, no delays and made sure we always had what we needed. It felt really nice to be surrounded by our community in these hard times, it was so nice to see families, couples & friends all gathered in a cozy, humble place that delivers excellence & love in every word & mouthful. I truly wish you all the best, you deserve every bit of recognition. This place is really a gem and I invite you to try it for yourselves because you won’t be disappointed!

Visiting friends from out of province, and so very sorry we won’t be able to come back until summer . From the moment we walked in, the wonderful aroma welcomed us! The service was so welcoming and friendly., the food was delicious ! They first served us a delicious barley soup. We then lovingly enjoyed The Warm eggplant Dish, followed by the main courses of Traditional Persian stews, and chicken breast with saffron rice and salad. Looking forward to our next visit to Montreal so we can come back and enjoy more selections from this restaurant
