Shali is by far the best Persian restaurant in the West Island. Their kebabs are on a completely different level, and it's hard to find a Barg kebab of this quality anywhere else. The Koobideh is also exceptional juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Combined with excellent service and a welcoming atmosphere, Shali is a place I highly recommend to anyone looking for outstanding Persian food :)

Theee best filet mignon I have ever had. So tender and flavourful. I had it with salad and the dressing on their salad was delicious My friend had the chicken with pomegranate and it was a flavour party. Soo good. Make a reservation because it fills up fast in there. The secret is out on where delicious is at for a great value.

You could easily miss this spot if you don't know the area. The greeting at arrival was just okay, but the food itself turned out to be quite good. They have a large menu selection and provide nice fabric napkins. The complimentary soup they started me with was absolutely delicious, the pickled eggplant was tasty, and the main dish (#9) featured perfectly tender meat. I also noticed later customers bringing in their own wine, so it appears to be a Bring Your Own Wine establishment. ​However, the overall upkeep and service definitely need attention. The menu outside had oily spots, the dining table was wobbly, and the floor was noticeably greasy and slippery for my shoes. In terms of service, I was the only customer in the place initially, yet my drink was brought out without a glass or a straw. When other people finally started coming in, the staff walked to the door with big smiles to welcome them, but I didn't receive that same welcoming hospitality. To wrap up the meal, I had to wait a long time ~10min before anyone checked on me for the bill or asked if I wanted anything else. ​The kitchen clearly knows what it’s doing with the flavors, but the front-of-house cleanliness and attention to service really need to step up.

Shali is honestly one of the best Persian kababs I’ve ever had ! The staff is very kind and the atmosphere and very relaxed. Great value for the price and extremely tasty!

A very welcoming restaurant, with delicious Persian food. The interior is modest and charming. The staff is very pleasant and hospitable. It is so nice to be greeted with a smile at the door. The menu is more extensive than other Persian restaurants in the city. The restaurant offers all the traditional Persian grilled meats, as well as hard to find Persian specialties. We particularly enjoyed the Fesenjoon chicken stew. All dishes that we tried were delicious! Being able to bring a bottle of your favourite wine, to complement the flavours, completes the experience!

From the moment you step in the restaurant, you feel completely at ease. The ambience is truly unique and everyone around seems genuinely happy with what's been served at their tables. The staff is courteous and the manager is exceptionally polite and attentive. As for food, all I can sayis that I've never tasted Middle Eastern cuisine this delicious before. Five stars don't feel like enough, is there anything beyond that?

I suggest you try the Tangy Barg Kebab and Tangy Chicken Kebab. These two main dishes are among the tastiest dishes ever. Enjoy the flavors!

A perfect evening. The atmosphere is cozy and the menu is quite diverse. I loved the fresh flavors and the creamy textures of our meal. The servers were fantastic and very attentive. Overall, it was an unforgettable dining experience that I would recommend to anyone.

This food was amazing. I have mostly had Persian food at people's houses so it's always been delicious but this food was so good. The restaurant was simply decorated with a vibe of being in someone's dinning room. The food is exquisite! The chickens flavors just explode in my mouth. The jooje torsh (#5) was so tangy and well balanced with earthy spices. The signature shali kabab was also so juicy. We will go back. They had big family style tables perfect for a family gathering.
