Reviews / Ratings for Sergiolino Restaurant
Sergiolino it's my "go to" place for any special event. The food is great, the atmosphere is perfect but I mostly enjoy the service.PS. I would enjoy more variety in the offer
The place is beautiful but to pay $40 for a plate of pasta you have to be really dumb. Prices are way to high for the quality of food. Service that we got sucked hard and it wasnt even packed. Would i recommend this place ? not even one bit i would.I'm italian and i know food and that was way far from being good .
Great place with a cool ambiance. The food was delicious (group menu, pre-decided). Though it's cool that they do a special treat for birthday guests (loud music, clapping, highlight), it seems like EVERY table had someone celebrating a bday...Maybe check cards? 😁
My favourite new spot! The food was amazing the service impeccable and the music is the best.
Everything was perfect. It was our second time there. All the food was great. The calamari, peperonta and house salad are AMAZING!Their pizzas are next level (we had the all dressed and Prosciutto di Parma). The Milanese & Roquette was to die for!Their Gomiti Tartufo Funghi pasta dish is TOP TIER! STAR of the menu!Highly recommended!
The food was good but the service was not. My friends and I went out for our friend’s birthday, which is relevant to the review. When we first got seated, we got our drinks and after that we had to wait for almost a whole hour (around 50 mins) and had to ask two other waiters before someone came to take our order. The food did come quickly enough and it was pretty nice, especially the gnocchi alla vodka. We then asked to get the cake for our friend and this alone took another 40 mins for it to arrive. Later, when we wanted our bill we had to flag down our waiter again and she gave us the bill after 30 mins. She then proceeded to leave the table and we had to wait another 20-30 mins for her to come back with the machine to pay the bills. Absolutely ridiculous customer service and a complete waste of time, why offer free parking for 3 hours when you have waiters who make you waste over 4 hours of your day.
Small portions for the price
Great vibesI enjoy the food concept, sharing style and the portions are huge
Amazing food probably will go again if i go to a show at place bell. The only little thing was how the birthday songs would interrupt conversations but its probably more special for the birthday boy/girl.
Thank you Enzo for wonderful service. Enjoyed the calamari, Spritz and cheesecake.
Food was excellent. Calamari was one of the best I've tried. The service was over the top (Thank you ENZO). Also the live singer ----great touch for a Thursday night
Great service, great food, great atmosphere!!
We came to sergiolino restaurant for the first time because we like exploring but we were really agreeably surprised by how the restaurant feature is made so that every kind of customer can be pleased completely, the service is just as awesome as it is very friendly and polite as well as considerate and did not forget any details to please their client and the atmosphere is just luxurious as they have gone so far as to have a private singer for the restaurant which adds up to the experience a taste of luxury, and for the food there is so much of a variety we had hard time deciding over what to take since everything looked so good and as the server took time to kindly explain us that everything in the menu can be fixed to our liking and that the chefs would be pleased to adjust it to our taste which makes a complete experience on a whole new level. We will be back a lot more times in the future and we highly recommend sergiolino as so far from laval’s restaurants it is the one and only that even tough it is an Italiano american style restaurant, it could easily qualify for us as a 5star quoted restaurant for everything that they recreated from old years to present and give us a sense of nostalgia which no restaurant up to now could give us that pleasure.
We went as a group of girls and had an amazing experience. The drinks were very good and the food was amazing. The timing between drinks, apetizers and main dishes was impevable dispite how busy they were. The atmosphere was really high energy and had everyone in a party mood.
Took my team of managers to Sergiolino in Laval and we had an incredible experience. The vibe was lively, the food was outstanding, and the service was truly exceptional. Huge shoutout to Sabrina for taking such great care of us — she made the night even better. Highly recommend!
We came to Sergiolino to celebrate my birthday with my friends — we were 5 people. It was a very busy night. Even with a reservation, we had to wait a bit, which we didn’t mind given how crowded it was. Our waiter seemed quite busy and wasn’t able to check on us often. While service felt a bit rushed, I understand how hectic the evening was. The food was good, but nothing extraordinary — in my opinion, it’s a bit overrated. The music was good, but when birthdays were celebrated, the volume got very loud, making it hard to hear each other speak. Which was more than 9 times. We weren’t informed about the last call for desserts, and I had hoped to order the tiramisu. However, the waiter kindly brought me a brownie with ice cream, which was very thoughtful and appreciated.
Amazing environment, and well served
I’ve been here a few times for different occasions, and the vibe is always fun. If you’re looking to have a good time in Laval, this is definitely a lively spot. The food is good and the portions are generous. However, during my most recent visit, I had a disappointing experience. I had a reservation and when I gave my name at the welcome desk, the hostess (who I believe may be a manager) made fun of my last name. I found it immature and unnecessary, especially in 2026. I called it out in the moment because there’s simply no reason to mock someone’s family name. It left a bitter taste on what could have been a great night. While the atmosphere and food are solid, that interaction unfortunately impacted my overall experience.
The only negative comment would be the sound of the music when the crooner began to sing. No way to enjoy your meal and chat without having to shout. The loudness should begin a bit later. On a positive note, the food was excellent, decor is beautiful and service is impeccable. I appreciate having the choice of opting for family style portions or single serving. And, as long as you get your parking ticket stamped by the waiter, the indoor parking 🅿️ below is free. If not, it’s 20$.
My friends and I recently had a dinner reservation at Sergiolino before a show at Salle André Mathieu. This restaurant came highly recommended, and from the moment we walked in, we were captivated by the beautiful design and the immersive 80s theme, it’s truly a stunning space. Our waitress, Rebecca, provided a standout experience with her impeccable service throughout the entire evening; she was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely a highlight of our visit. The atmosphere, however, took a turn with the frequent birthday celebrations. While it's great to see a new local spot be so popular, the music was blasted for at least three or four different groups, making conversation at our table nearly impossible. We started with cocktails and mocktails, which were well-made and enjoyable. But as an Italian-Canadian, I was most excited to try the pasta. That’s because the social media videos made it look like the kind of food that I grew up with. Unfortunately, this is where our experience was disappointing. All three of us ordered a pasta dish, and none of them hit the mark. My Gomiti alla Sergiolino had overcooked pasta and a bland chicken Milanese that lacked any real flavor. My friends shared the same sentiment with their dishes, the lobster pasta was also overcooked, and the spaghetti with tomato sauce was so under-seasoned that they had to add chili flakes just to get a hint of taste. The complimentary limoncello shots to end the meal were a very nice touch, and the chocolate soufflé for dessert was decent. Ultimately, Sergiolino is a place with immense potential. The service is top-notch, the decor is beautiful, and the ambiance is vibrant. However, for a restaurant of this caliber (and the pricing $$$), the food needs to be elevated to match the rest of the experience. It's not a place I would rush back to for the food alone, but I truly hope they can improve their kitchen because everything else is such a home run!
It’s ok with italian food, but not the best.
You all went above and beyond to help us celebrate a special occasion. The staff was on point with service. Friendly and VERY polite. Even though it was extremely busy, we received great service.
Great time. Awesome vibe and pizza was delish. We ordered a piccata . Very tasty. I just don't get the whole contorni situation . If we're not in Italy, why do that? Great Italo American menu - im all for it but seriously, chef can't smash some potatoes or grilled veg next to the secondo - i mean youre menu is super generous - you even offer those biscotti with the espresso. So slam some rapinni next to my chicken parm next time . 5 stars anyway . Great experience , grazie
Loved my first experience at Sergiolino. Our waitress Victoria gave us an amazing service from the start, the food came quickly and was very good. Couple shots, well crafted signature Whiskey Sour and a Dirty Martini. Had the bruschetta - pesto ravioli and cheese pizza. Definitely recommend and the ambiance is upscale casual, with a festive touch.
