As expected, Schwartz’s was amazing. We were welcomed in and treated like a member of the family. It’s not a trip to Montreal without Schwartz.

Quick stop as our friends from BC wanted to try it. Yes the sandwich wasnt huge, but the meat portion was! We took a half chicken back to our Airbnb for dinner that night, best chicken I've ever had. Don't know the name of our server, but he was so good, attentive and funny! Small diner style atmosphere, we were a party of 4 and they sat another couple beside us who were Thaiwanese and from BC! Overall ot could use a facelift/update, but fun nonetheless!

This is a perfect local restaurant in Montreal. I think I dont need to say anything more about that. Come and try if you guys have chance to Montreal.

When I went in summer it was amazing today February in winter it was absolutely awful asked for lean meat the meat was extremely dry and smelly, burned meat not smoked meat

Montreal staple, the smoke meat sandwich is impeccable as usual. Long lines, customer service very rush rush and usually hard to find place to sit, food makes it worth it though.

So good! I didn’t think I was a smoked meat fan, but I’ve been converted by Schwartz Deli! The service was great and the gentlemen serving us offered to take a picture (we were traveling from out of town) of us without us even having to ask

The bread is very soft, and the layers of beef are well seasoned, tender, and rich with a nice fatty aroma. Personally, I think it tastes even better with a bit more yellow mustard. The fat distribution could be more even — some parts were a little dry and firm, while others were quite fatty. Highly recommend having it with pickles, which really balance the richness of the beef.

I love the food here and especially the pickles... I bought a few jars to take home about a year go and just cracked into third, but to my surprise, they were completely spoiled :( The expiration was for 2027, and my pantry is temp controlled so I don't know what went wrong with them. I would suggest the owner contact the manufacturer, as someone could eat one and get botulism.
