There’s usually a little line up and wait to get a table, but it moves quickly and service inside is fast and efficient. I tried the shrimp green onion and pork cilantro dumpling, the pan-fried lamb dumpling and they were all good. We also had the shrimp croquettes, the wonton soup and the papaya salad. I didn’t like the shrimp croquettes because of the wet-like texture inside🥴. I had high expectations for the papaya salad, which I usually love, but theirs was disappointing; it was very fresh but lacking in the usual bold flavours such as fish sauce, peppers, Thai basil, garlic or shrimp paste overall tasted flat without the salty and sour profiles. I was also disappointed with the cucumber salad. We had jasmine tea served in beautiful service dish, which was a nice way to end dinner. Overall it was a good experience (although they’re a bit stingy on napkins - we had one each and after dropping something on the table we asked the server for more and he gave us one each again😓). It’s a cool place to have in the center of Laval for and introduction to this style of cuisine

I went with my family and we absolutely loved it! The dumplings were amazing, the place felt cozy, and the service was great too. Definitely recommend it to everyone.
I was excited to try this spot since Laval doesn’t have many dumpling options, and I haven’t been to other Sammi Soupe locations. Compared to family-run dumpling spots in Montreal, the flavors felt basic and didn’t stand out, and the menu is quite small. Also, there’s no baby changing station in the bathroom, which made the visit inconvenient.

Food is good, the interior design is very good too BUT the service is borderline nonexistent. You are sat with a menu, the server comes around 10 minutes later which is why I order right as they hand me the menu so I don't have to wait the extra 10 minutes. And up to now there's no major issues. DISCLAIMER THE RESTAURANT WAS BASICALLY EMPTY (4 customers only) Not to mention I waited around 20 minutes to get a plate of fried dumplings. Here is the problem: I finished my dish and I wanted to order another one and NO ONE would even look at me. Most servers were just walking around doing nothing and wouldn't even glance in my direction to see if I needed something. Around 15 minutes later I managed to make eye contact with one of them and called him over to make my order. After I finished eating, I got up to go pay. Now listen... NONE and I mean absolutely ZERO employees were at the cash and there were around 6 employees there. Some of them would glance at me at the cash and go on about their business. None of them knew how to process payment, their big boss was too busy doing something else in the kitchen that he made me and a couple other customers wait for around 5-10 minutes to pay. At some point I just wanted to walk out cause no one was going to take payment. After the employees saw us waiting for quite some time, they started whispering to each other but none of them called the boss over. Just horrible service. If you want quick service just go to downtown, they are a little faster at least.
i have to say the food is always amazing and the service is good but pleaseeeeee tell me why this has to be my view while i’m eating 😭😭. either don’t place this seating right next to the door or just tell people to wait outside. it’s better for customers but also for staff. they had to squeeze through every time to serve dishes and it was just super overwhelming.

We where forgotwn about, wated over an houer to get 2 servings of dumpling even with only half the tables where empty. got are drinks as we where finishing. Soup dumpling where could.

The xiaolongbao were not salty enough, and they didn’t taste as good as the ones at DT. The flavor still needs some improvement. However, their side dishes deserve praise. We tried the cucumbers and they were very tasty, though the price is a bit high. The restaurant’s interior is very nice and clean.
This is a really good place. Quiet good food I recommend for dates
