The place is beautiful I loved it and the food was amazing but the wait time for the food was not good but the staff were nice which made it up
Reviews / Ratings for RH Rooftop Restaurant at RH Montreal
first time here and while fancy setting, breakfast was extremely underwhelming and very expensive for its quality and even for its visual appeal. moreover, zero flexibility in menu to accommodate restrictions and once finished eating the 2 sunny side up eggs on dish for 28 dollars with 2 slices tomoatoes, was watched like a hawk by manager for enjoying our easter brunch with friends - seems even though not packed at capacity, waiter and manager were expecting us to be gone asap. a first and a last due to harried experience and poor quality food.
I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant if you’re expecting value for your money or a great overall experience. We chose it to celebrate a friend’s birthday because social media made it seem like the perfect spot—but it turned out to be disappointing. While our server was kind and professional, the experience went downhill afterward. After paying, we asked if we could take a few photos in the lobby. We were told it was fine as long as we didn’t use flash, so we proceeded respectfully. However, another staff member approached us in a very condescending manner and told us to “just take one more” because “this isn’t a photo studio.” This felt unnecessary and rude, especially since no one was waiting behind us and we weren’t disturbing anyone. An experience at a restaurant shouldn’t end the moment the bill is paid especially at a place positioning itself as upscale. The way guests are treated as they leave is just as important as the service during the meal. If customers are paying premium prices, the service should reflect that level of quality and respect. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case here. To make matters worse, the food itself was also very disappointing. Overall, not an experience I’d repeat.
This is a third update of two previous evaluations The food quality is better. The chef today is Marco I October Max was friendly and very knowledgeable The bread is now delicious and served warm = 10/10 ( I am told they changed the supplier) The appetiser delice de Bourgogne is truly delicious and elegantly presented 10/10 The shrimp was good but a little salty 7/10 The crab legs were much better than before but a little wet7/10 The best thing about the restaurant is the dessert, especially the banana split, which is amazing and done by pastry chef Boulos. the strawberries with cream are great The atmosphere is amazing, the decor is beautiful, the servers , Maitre D and receptionist are very elegantly dressed, and the service is excellent
The venue is very beautiful, but the ambiance was not what I had anticipated—it felt more like a high-end escort setting, which was off-putting. The food was good, but the portions were very small. After paying a bill of $525, we were asked to leave because they needed the table, which I found to be a really poor concept. I would not return, nor would I recommend this place.
We had an amazing meal with the best service we could have expected. The lovely waitress Clara had the most colourful and passionate way of describing the items on the menu and her descriptions were absolutely accurate. It’s a bit pricey but once you taste the food, it’s worth it. Thank you again Clara and complements to the chef.
Incredible place, the food was fantastic. More on the pricier side but the taste of the food, the atmosphere, lovely decor and the welcoming staff makes it all worth it. We’ve received an incredible service by our waitress Clara, she was extremely passionate in her description of the menu to help us make a decision which made us laugh. Her positive energy and her kindness made our dining experience immersive and one of a kind. I will definitely be coming back this summer to experience the terrace
Delicious food, friendly staff, and absolutely stunning atmosphere.
The Australian wagyu steak was amazing!
Service wasn’t great, and me and my friend got really bad food poisoning from the food (we shared a steak & ceasar salad). It’s too bad because the restaurant is stunning, but will definitely not be going back.
I went for my birthday to RH rooftop and it didn’t disappoint the entrance the vibe the atmosphere was incredible!! We were served by Dany who had a great service and always making sure everything is perfect and made us feel comfortable. Thankyou Dany for your care towards the clients. I really appreciate it!! We got the Stake frite and Petit fillet so delicious if you were wondering 🤭. Pleaseee Are we going to talk about the bathrooms?? So clean very chic they have private bathrooms where us girls can take as much as pictures we wantt without anyone seeing us wow wow 🥰🥰 If you are planning to visit to RH you definitely should !!
It is the second time I go. First time I went was ok, however they have since changed their menu. I ordered yesterday the chicken salad: It is literally a chicken breast on 4 leaves of tasteless lettuce. No dressing, no veggies, nothing else (40 dollar dish). What a joke. So my advice to this restaurant is to please remove this from the menu, it is an embarrassment to a luxury restaurant. Decor is nice however.
Very bad service. Staff if very rude. As a person that went to a lot of restaurants in Montreal I would highly recommend not going there. One of my worst restaurant experience in Montreal so far!
Had such a beautiful experience at RH Rooftop Restaurant ✨ The space itself is absolutely stunning — bright, elegant, and filled with natural light. It feels like you’re dining in a luxurious greenhouse. The ambiance alone makes it worth the visit, whether it’s for brunch, a date, or a special occasion. The food was just as impressive. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The truffle fries were a highlight, and the lobster roll was perfectly balanced and delicious. Portions were generous without being overwhelming. Service was attentive and professional, without feeling rushed — which made the whole experience even more enjoyable.
RH Rooftop is less a restaurant and more a content studio that happens to serve food. Perched beneath a skylit atrium with heritage olive trees, cascading fountains and chandeliers that could make a parking lot look like Versailles, this place is so photogenic it should be paying you for showing up. At any given moment, 40% of the room is eating, and the other 60% is shooting a “candid” laughing video while their brunch gets cold. I counted three Hinge profile photoshoots before my drink arrived. And yet — the food is genuinely good. The classics are executed with real care. The service is friendly, warm, and visibly overwhelmed — like a golden retriever who really wants to help but isn’t entirely sure where it’s going. They’ll get to you. Think of it as the Marcus for people who hate going downtown. Same elevated energy, same dressed-up crowd, except here everyone has a ring light in their bag and the valet is at a mall. Come for the chandeliers, stay for truffle fries, and don’t be surprised when the person next to you asks if you can move slightly — you’re in their shot.
Overall, my brunch experience was excellent at RH Rooftop restaurant. The service was perfect, the burger was excellent, and the atmosphere was nice too. A bit pricy and relatively small portions, but the quality made up for it.
My sister and I came here yesterday and had such a lovely experience. Our waitress, Clara, was incredibly kind and welcoming from the moment we arrived. She kept the warmest smile the whole time and really went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and enjoying everything. The food was great and the restaurant itself is such a beautiful spot. We’ll definitely be back!
The place is very nice and I liked the food it was okay. However the vibe and the atmosphere was kinda off putting. The music was weird but the sound of the waterfall fountain thingy in the middle was nice. Just a tad bit overpriced but you are mostly paying for the location and the nice interior design.
the food was amazing! i got a salad and it tasted delicious. but the service was terrible. for such a gorgeous place its crazy that the servers dont check on you and dont create any sort of rapport. the server barely listened to us and barely checked on us. it was also my birthday and high class restaurants always offer free dessert or actually care about how the present the dessert that we ordered. they definitely to work on their service but the food is good.
Great experience , great food great service
This place has become our go-to brunch spot every weekend! The vibe is always so welcoming and relaxed, making it the perfect place to unwind. The food is absolutely amazing—everything we’ve tried has been delicious and beautifully presented. What really makes the experience special is the staff. They’re always so friendly, attentive, and make you feel genuinely welcome every time we visit. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a great brunch spot!
The food and the atmosphere are phenomenal. We had a few mishaps like waiting a long time to get our entrees. However, our waitress CLARA’s service was top notch. She gave us amazing recommendations and was very apologetic for the kitchens mistake and truly made up for the lack. She made our dinner fabulous and I would definitely come back. We came for an experience and we received an incredible one thanks to her.
I am not one to ever complain about food because it’s really hard to mess food up in my opinion, but this place takes the cake. My friend’s burger bread was hard as a rock. We knocked it on the plate and it made the loudest knock on the plate. Sides cost extra, so if you didn’t pay extra for the fries it would’ve been just the burger on the plate and that’s it. I had a salad with chicken added and it came up to $73 with tip which I think is an exaggeration, considering the fact that my chicken was so dry I could barely swallow it. The atmosphere is very nice, and some of the staff were very nice, some of them just plain rude. When we talked about our experience to our waiter Nico, he was very understanding and offered us free cookies to go. Thank you for the amazing service Nico you were very funny and king :)
The food is absolutely tasteless, the ribeye sandwich is the worst I've ever had for $42, and the oysters are the smallest I've ever seen. The prices are inflated. But the place is beautiful. I don't recommend it.
The service was horrible, the manager kicked us out after 1,5h , after we spent more than 120$ per person… on a Friday evening. Very disappointed.P.S. Change the management, before they ruine the reputation of this beautiful franchise.
