We stumbled upon Elforne on a Friday night without a reservation. Seeing it empty at first made us hesitant, but the owner greeted us so warmly that we decided to stay—and I’m so glad we did! The food was absolutely amazing. The owner was a one-man show, acting as our waiter, cashier, and chef. He was so attentive that he even asked if we wanted the pizzas customized to suit the kids. We ordered the Margherita, Mediterranean, and Poulet Mariné; every single one had a perfect blend of fresh ingredients. This is a true hidden gem with top-tier hospitality!

We arrived to the restaurant around 12:15 pm, in google maps said it was open, on the door of the restaurant were the schedules, it said the open at 11 am, also there was a paper with a printed note saying something like: "the restaurant may look empty but is because we just opened, come in, we are open", but the resto was indeed empty and the door locked, they were closed!!! We knocked and man popped from the inside and signaled us that it was closed. Why would you put everywhere that you're open and then just be closed?

You are absolutely right — everything showed that we were open, and arriving to a locked door is frustrating. Unfortunately, you came at the exact moment we had a sudden technical issue with our oven (about 5 minutes before you arrived). Since our kitchen operates 90% with the oven, we were not able to serve properly at that moment. It was completely unexpected, and we honestly didn’t even have time to print a notice or update anything online. Another guest arrived just 2 minutes before you and experienced the same situation. We’re a small team and we genuinely care deeply about every customer. We work very hard every day, and it truly hurts us when someone has a disappointing experience — especially for something that happened suddenly and was out of our control. We sincerely apologize, and we’re already taking steps to make sure that in case of an emergency technical issue, we communicate it much faster and more clearly. 👉 If you decide to give us another chance, please mention this review at your next visit — we’d love to offer you small gesture on us as an apology. Pizzeria El Forne is a true hidden gem. This little hole-in-the-wall place delivers amazing Mediterranean food along with excellent pizzas. Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. What really stood out was the service—the chefs actually came out to check on us and make sure everything was perfect, which made the experience feel very personal and welcoming. Cozy, authentic, and delicious. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to and recommending to others.
