Growing up in the tri-state area, I know good pizza...and this is it! Stopped in Montreal for an overnight and could not be happier that we did. The Margherita, the pepperoni, and the Mediterranean, all tres bien!

What a delicious four-cheese pizza with white sauce—rich, creamy, and absolutely unforgettable. Easily one of the top pizzas in Montreal, and a must-try for anyone who loves great food. The restaurant itself is warm and cozy, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy your meal. The staff are incredibly kind, welcoming, and bring such a positive, vibrant energy to the experience. Definitely a place you’ll want to come back to again and again!

Really nice ambiance. Pizza was excellent. I had the funghi and the flavours were deep and crust airy crispy light. The homemade chili crisps go super well with the cheese and tomato. Friendly owner clearly passionate about the food. Classy quiet decor too

Visiting from PEI. Was told by our hotel staff that this was the best pizza in town. They weren’t lying! Had to order take out as we had fussy kids with us. But we ordered the pepperoni and the 4 cheese pizza. Both were ready to pick up in 15 minutes. Very fresh tasting and full of flavour. Happy to recommend!

It was our first time coming here. We ordered the pepperoni pizza, chicken pizza and 4 cheese pizza. They were all delicious. I typically don’t order 4 cheese pizza but it tasted phenomenal!

We came here for pizza and absolutely loved it! Everything was delicious, and we also tried the tiramisu which was amazing. The gentleman working here by himself was incredibly kind, friendly, and welcoming. He made the whole experience even better. We will definitely come back!

I spent about a week in Montreal and tried a few different pizza spots, and this place was by far the best. The pizza was amazing and easily the highlight compared to the others I had. I would definitely come back!

Pizzeria elForne is such an amazing hidden gem, that my friends and I stumbled upon after searching for a nearby restaurant open late within walking distance to our hotel. We were happy to find this place, and were surprised to see it empty, but we walked in and were greeted by the owner who eneded up being the only employee working. It was stunning to see him be so diligent in every task, from working as our server, and chef. The food was so fresh and tasting amazing. This restaurant has such a stunning authentic atmosphere to it, and I highly recommend and I will be stopping by on my next trip to Montreal.

I went to Elforne for lunch with a group of 10. We called in advance to let them know we were coming. When we arrived, the restaurant was empty — and unfortunately, we quickly understood why. We waited about an hour for our pizzas. When they finally arrived, the crust was burnt while the middle was still raw. The ingredients did not taste fresh, and the cheese felt industrial and low quality. For $30 per pizza in downtown Montreal, this is completely unacceptable — especially in such a competitive market. What made it worse was the service. Only one person was working in the restaurant. He never once came to check on us or ask if the food was okay. There was no follow-up, no acknowledgment of the long wait, nothing. I genuinely wanted this place to be good. The concept has potential. But based on this experience, I cannot recommend it. With this level of execution and attention to detail, it’s hard to see how it can compete long term. Very disappointing.

We stumbled upon Elforne on a Friday night without a reservation. Seeing it empty at first made us hesitant, but the owner greeted us so warmly that we decided to stay—and I’m so glad we did! The food was absolutely amazing. The owner was a one-man show, acting as our waiter, cashier, and chef. He was so attentive that he even asked if we wanted the pizzas customized to suit the kids. We ordered the Margherita, Mediterranean, and Poulet Mariné; every single one had a perfect blend of fresh ingredients. This is a true hidden gem with top-tier hospitality!

We arrived to the restaurant around 12:15 pm, in google maps said it was open, on the door of the restaurant were the schedules, it said the open at 11 am, also there was a paper with a printed note saying something like: "the restaurant may look empty but is because we just opened, come in, we are open", but the resto was indeed empty and the door locked, they were closed!!! We knocked and man popped from the inside and signaled us that it was closed. Why would you put everywhere that you're open and then just be closed?

You are absolutely right — everything showed that we were open, and arriving to a locked door is frustrating. Unfortunately, you came at the exact moment we had a sudden technical issue with our oven (about 5 minutes before you arrived). Since our kitchen operates 90% with the oven, we were not able to serve properly at that moment. It was completely unexpected, and we honestly didn’t even have time to print a notice or update anything online. Another guest arrived just 2 minutes before you and experienced the same situation. We’re a small team and we genuinely care deeply about every customer. We work very hard every day, and it truly hurts us when someone has a disappointing experience — especially for something that happened suddenly and was out of our control. We sincerely apologize, and we’re already taking steps to make sure that in case of an emergency technical issue, we communicate it much faster and more clearly. 👉 If you decide to give us another chance, please mention this review at your next visit — we’d love to offer you small gesture on us as an apology. Pizzeria El Forne is a true hidden gem. This little hole-in-the-wall place delivers amazing Mediterranean food along with excellent pizzas. Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. What really stood out was the service—the chefs actually came out to check on us and make sure everything was perfect, which made the experience feel very personal and welcoming. Cozy, authentic, and delicious. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to and recommending to others.
