Amazing food, sucks that you cannot pay card..
Whether sitting outside under the maple tree on a hot afternoon, looking out to leafy Gouin boulevard and the historic Sacre-Coeur hospital or cozying at the booths inside late at night, Paulo & Suzanne is my little oasis of comfort in Cartierville. Even the lesser known choice of coffee and waffle with syrup hits the mark for me. One small suggestion would be to treat those who sit on the terrace as terrace customers and not take-away ones, so as to avoid the unecessary packaging. Overall, a vibrant and friendly neighbourhood business where hunger is duly satisfied!

We ordered takeout. We ordered La Philly Bomb poutine and a regular poutine and the Grilled Cheese Diablo. The grilled cheese was pretty good. However, the star was definitely the poutine. Both poutines that we ordered were excellent. The gravy was just right. Some gravies from different establishments are too salty, but this gravy hit the spot. We would definitely come back again.

This place has been my go-to spot every time I’m in town for years. The burgers are absolutely incredible, the poutines are always loaded and delicious, and their grilled cheese sandwiches hit the spot every single time. Been going there since the late 90’s but It’s actually tied to one of the biggest memories of my life; back in 2009, when my wife’s water broke with our second son, we stopped here at midnight for a quick burger before rushing across the street to the hospital for the birth. That memory alone makes this place special to me, but the consistently amazing food is what keeps me coming back. I no longer live in Montreal but when I’m in town it’s always a must. Reason it’s not 5 stars is because it’s a cash only restaurant. No debit and no credit which is super duper inconvenient and annoying. They do have an ATM but no one wants to put their debit card in a shady ATM machine nowadays. We’re in 2026 guys! Get with the times.
Miss this place
I’ve been a customer here for decades and i can confirm this place is not like it used to be! Everytime i order a poutine its never the same as everyday, sometimes burned fries, sometimes not enough sauce, sometimes too much. Today i just ordered a regular poutine and they gave me a “soup poutine” to much sauce. Also i called for it to be ready but they still made me wait without preparing it.

Aside from good food, unfortunately not much being done when it comes to reducing waste and recycling. Poutine is packaged in double plastic covers and plastic utensils. No recycling bins on site for those eating on the patio. Straws are still plastic!

I ate beef and chicken fajita poutine for the first time. The amount of pain was small. It wasn’t too painful. The portion amount was ideal. The sauce and potatoes were good. It was delicious and I liked it. I recommend them

Very good classic poutine and steamy Hotdogs. A classic quebec staple. The sauce was tasty, the fries where excellent and of course the squeaky cheese. I will definitely go back and try the specialty poutines. Don't forget to bring cash as they only except cash.
Junk food, cash only cantine, the good news is its open 24h for after party people , but not recommended before party unless you have a bottle of perfume in your car .
Poutine was just ok. Not worthy of high praise. I will note their ticketing system is flawed if it takes them 30 minuites to make a poutine to go.

I can’t comment on the service or the atmosphere since i ordered online but as for the food it is so greasy, normally i wouldn’t comment but i ordered the 3D burger, didn’t finish it all and my stomach hurt so bad, i don’t recommend I don’t know if the food being bad is a delivery thing since most 5 star reviews for the food are in place

Seriously wonderful poutine and classic grill food. Its on the priceier side but this is also due to the ginormous portions of delicious and savoury food they provide. The restaurant is also similarly small and cozy with good service. Great spot if you want to indulge in a bunch of poutine and burgers.
We traveled across town to try this place and man it was worth it, such a cute little shop and I got the poutine with pasta sauce and Italian sausages, it was delicious! Worth the trip over there!It is cash only heads up!
Great spot that’s been in the neighborhood for a long time. I love the Royal burger — it even comes with fries and an egg.
