It’s so tasty and the portions are very good! So are the prices. I would highly recommend this place. The food is 10/10 the service is 10/10 and so is the atmosphere! One of my favourite spots.

Came for Saturday lunch, really enjoyed the experience. The portions are seriously huge and you get dessert too. Really good value and the staff was super friendly and attentive. It's just good vibes overall and great to bring a family, like your friendly neighbourhood restaurant. It's about 30$ per person after tip and tax but you'll always go home with leftovers

Disappointing Culinary Quality and Unprofessional Kitchen Atmosphere. We visited this restaurant with high expectations for a date night, drawn in by the promising menu. Unfortunately, the experience was deeply disappointing, defined by poorly executed food and an unsettling atmosphere created by the kitchen staff. The most concerning part of our evening was the behavior of the kitchen staff. Several employees came out to the dining area to socialize while still wearing their aprons and gloves. Upon noticing our only finished dish, they pointed at the plate and mockingly asked, "You liked it? I made it!" while laughing. We felt deeply uncomfortable and targeted. The reality was that we had requested the remainder of our meal to be packaged to-go out of courtesy, purely to avoid leaving an untouched table behind. The speed at which the food arrived was the first indicator of the quality to follow. Multiple dishes strongly suggested a reliance on hasty reheating rather than fresh preparation: • Kkanpoongi: The fried chicken was mushy on the exterior and dry and hard on the inside, bearing the classic signs of being microwaved. • Haemul Pajeon: The savory pancake lacked its signature crispness and tasted reheated, with the seafood feeling entirely unintegrated. • Sticky Rice: Evidenced localized dryness, uneven texture, and rapid hardening upon cooling—clear indicators of improper reheating. • Tteokkochi & Samgyetang: The tteokkochi glaze carried an unpleasant sourness, while the Samgyetang broth lacked any depth or traditional richness, tasting like plain boiled water with chicken added afterward. • Banchan: The bean sprouts appeared old and lacked the traditional toasted sesame oil aroma. The remaining side dishes were the only palatable part of the meal, likely because they were prepared well in advance or sourced elsewhere. The sole redeeming factor of our evening was our lady server. Her attentiveness, warmth, and genuine professionalism deserve real credit, and she is the only reason this review is not a single star. We left over $100 on the table for a meal that was largely inedible. If there is an ownership team behind this establishment that genuinely cares about its investment, I strongly urge a serious review of your kitchen’s quality control, basic hygiene protocols, and staff professionalism. Until then, I cannot recommend this establishment to others.

Dear Elias, First and foremost, I want to sincerely apologize for your disappointing experience at Mukja. Reading your review was genuinely shocking and deeply upsetting to me as the owner. Not because of the criticism, but because I never imagined that a guest at our restaurant would be made to feel so uncomfortable and disrespected by our own team. What you described regarding our kitchen staff's behaviour is absolutely unacceptable. Regardless of their intentions, there is no excuse for such unprofessional conduct. As the owner, I take full responsibility for allowing this to happen under our roof. Our entire team has worked incredibly hard to build Mukja into a place where guests feel welcomed and enjoy good food and genuine hospitality. It is heartbreaking to know that such behaviour could undermine the trust we have worked so hard to earn. I also want to address your concerns about the food. While I completely respect your experience, I would like to clarify that our dishes are prepared fresh to order, not prepared in advance and simply reheated. That being said, if the food you received gave you that impression, then we clearly fell short of the quality and consistency we strive to deliver. We take that seriously and will be reviewing our kitchen procedures. Thank you for recognizing our server's kindness and professionalism. I only wish the rest of your evening had reflected that same level of care. If you would ever consider giving us another chance, I would be truly grateful for the opportunity to earn back your trust. Not simply through words, but by showing you the food, hospitality, and professionalism that Mukja should always represent. The food is really authentic! I really missed samgyetang and was really looking forward to it. Loved how friendly the staff is and kudos for the two of them running the front of the house. Definitely both hard workers!

My forever favourite Korean restaurant in Montreal. Always love the food, especially after they added Samgyetang❤️‍🔥😭😭, and LOVE the playlist. Used to visit a lot during winter as they get the biggest menu for soup in Montreal. The portion never fails. However, they did a major price rise after they renovated😭

Nice Korean restaurant. We had sotbap for dinner. We came early so we didn’t have to wait. After 6PM, it gets busy, so you might need to line up. Service was a bit slow. However the sotbap was excellent. We also tried the makgeolli slush which was great.

I absolutely adore this gem! I found this restaurant on TikTok and was extremely blown away by the awesome service and delicious food! I don't usually like the 'trendy' spots you see all over Instagram, but I'm glad I went out my comfort zone with this quaint spot. The service was amazing and very fast. We visited on the 15th of September and there was one young man working the FOH and a young man in BOH, both AWESOME! I hope this review gives them the recognition they deserve! Our food was very affordable and we left with leftovers for the next day. We had plenty of banchans, all fresh and tasty. We enjoyed beef bibimbap, spicy tteokbokki, pork jajangmyeon, bulgogi beef. SUPER FREAKING YUMMY!!!!!! The kind waiter replaced our cutlery without us asking between so our flavours wouldn't be all mixed up. Extra napkins provided when I got a little messy LOL!! At the end, we finished with a creamy, rich matcha pudding; something I'd never tried before but would definitely return to try again! YUMMY! When the BOH man collected our plates and brought us our included desserts, my chopstick accidentally grazed my pudding (not his fault) and he immediately offered to replace it. Absolutely no worries!! Amazing service and even MORE amazing staff. Funny, pleasurable, and providing. I hope they can hear this feedback as a large part of my extraordinary experience was because of them! Expect ANASTASIA BRADY to be BACK and ready for MORE! I love this place!!! Great job everyone!!!

This spot is bare‑bones, basic tables, folding chairs, and virtually no decor, but it’s one of the few places in town that serves up to seven banchan. The spicy octopus was solid, the beef bone soup comforting, and the bibimbap fresh, though the one hour wait definitely took away from the experience.

Food is always amazing whenever I come here and also shout out to the chef who made our 닭갈비 and 순두부찌개 it was delicious and the portions were generous with all the different side dishes😋 Big thanks to our server Lucian and Seyoon u guys provided us a 10/10 service even though it was really busy we appreciate a lot, highly recommend to come to Mukja!!

Went today for lunch. We totally over ordered, cause everything loooked sooo good. Not complaining about the leftovers one bit, especially with the affordability and deliciousness of this menu. Service was amazing, as the staff is so kind and attentive. Will be back for sure.

Everything we ate was delicious! The bang for your buck here is incredible. As 2 people, we ordered the Bulgogi set, Dakgangjung and another cold noodle dish. We could barely make a dent in it but not for lack of wanting to devour it all. We were very happy to have leftovers for later. Staff were very friendly and informative. We will be back very soon!
