Very good, liked it. Not cheap but better than average so worth it.
Reviews / Ratings for RENOIR Restaurant
I had high expectations for the Easter brunch on April 5th, especially given the higher price point and my past positive experiences with the regular Sunday brunch. Unfortunately, this visit was very disappointing. The selection was extremely limited—no smoothies, no decaf options, and very few choices overall. The food itself was ordinary at best, lacking the quality and variety I’ve come to expect. Even more surprising, there was no way to have meat cooked to a preferred temperature, which is quite basic for a brunch of this level. Service was also noticeably slow, which added to the underwhelming experience. I used to come here regularly, about once a month, and always enjoyed it. This time, however, left me genuinely questioning whether I’ll return. For what was marketed as a special Easter brunch, it felt very misleading and not worth the premium price.
Exceptional experience! From the food, to the service And the beautiful ambience, I highly recommend this establishment! It was my first visit, but, it will not be my last!
We had a wonderful Sunday brunch at Renoir at the Sofitel Montréal, and it was truly a memorable experience. Chef Félix Duquet was incredibly impressive — not only for the quality of the food, but also for the care and attention he gave to the guests. He personally came by to ensure everything was perfect and made us feel genuinely welcomed. That level of hospitality makes a big difference. The brunch itself was outstanding: beautifully prepared dishes, refined flavors, and the kind of thoughtful presentation you expect from a top Montreal restaurant. Every plate felt carefully crafted and delicious. A big thank you to Chef Félix and the Renoir team for making our Sunday brunch so special. We will definitely be back.
Food, service and the people I was with were awesome. Presentation was excellent. Started with the Soup du jour along with the brazed beef. Everything was great!
Experiencing the start of Montreal en Lumiere with guest chef Lorenzo Di Gravio was delicious! Every dish was beautiful, the service was attentive and well-paced, and the dining room was elegant and comfortable. Unforgettable night.
We visited the restaurant the day before Valentine’s Day, hoping to enjoy the regular à la carte menu. Unfortunately, we were informed that only the Valentine’s set menu was available. It was $85 per person and included an amuse-bouche, a choice of appetizer, a choice of main course from 2 options, and dessert. Amuse-bouche and dessert were great. My friends' beetroot salad also didn't disappoint. Unfortunately, the scallops I ordered were cut in half, making them quite thin, which affected both texture and taste. The braised beef all of us had was also disappointing, as it did not seem cooked long enough to achieve the tenderness one expects from a braised dish. On a positive note, the service was impeccable — attentive, professional, and very courteous. They handled our feedback about the beef very well and kindly did not charge us for the drinks as a gesture of apology, which we appreciated. Overall, while the service was excellent, the food and value did not meet our expectations, and we left feeling somewhat disappointed.
