Went today and let me tell you ! we never seen a person with attitude as bad as the one serving us today , from the woman behind the counter ! If you don’t want to work stay home , if you don’t want to serve French speaking people , don’t work in services a la clientele ! I was a regular but now forget it .

It used to be better! Knafe came almost empty bread only and when i told the lady she said because it's hot!! Which is a ridiculous answer. I'll give it a chance one more time..

Haven t been aince 2022. Knefe 0/10 dry burnt. Halewet jeben excellent.,but presentation in a to go box unacceptable.

This spot is a true hidden gem for authentic Arabic sweets. The flavors are traditional and delicious — just like in the Middle East. The pastry chef and staff are warm, kind, and welcoming, always offering free tastings so you can pick your favorites. They also make customized birthday cakes, which are both beautiful and tasty. Prices are very fair for the quality you get. From baklava to maamoul to knafeh, everything is made with care and presented perfectly. I highly recommend this place! Update 24Jan2026: still highly recommend. Great spot in Laval.

I stumbled upon this bakery a few years ago, and I’ve been coming back every year since, always ordering either baklava or beinarein. I love how the baklava is always fresh and not overly sweet. It has a lot of flavor. I’m not even going to try to name my favorites because honestly, I don’t remember the names, I just recognize them visually. But overall, I’ve liked the majority of what I’ve tried. If I had to make a suggestion, I’d say skip Adonis and come here for your baklava instead. I used to order from Adonis, but when I compare the two, Al Sham is so much better. The quality at Adonis just doesn’t compare. So if you’re already on the hunt for baklava, just get it from here. You’ll save yourself the trouble.
