Every thing was cold and not as fresh as it could be.

Yum!!! Apricot one was the best!
Overhyped place, tourist trap. You would have tried better bakeries and coffee in your hometown. I came looking for award winning croissants but costco knees are better
Paillard is a MUST if you love French pastries or any French food for that matter! The cases are a stream of breads, cookies, croissants, rolls, macaroons, sandwhiches, quiche and the list goes on! I heard about this place so of course I went in. It’s hard to pick as each item looks better than the last. Sticking with the basics though, croissant, almond filled croissant and a hazelnut roll. Oh my gosh. The almond filling was amazing. Like a marzipan but lighter and more almond flavor. Generously filled into a sliced croissant. The hazelnut roll;similiar to a cinnamon roll but an elevated taste with real hazelnut paste. Basically everything in that bakery is top drawer as they are using pure ingredients. Definitely stop in and try anything. No disappointments only regrets that you eat more!
Good, Coffee ordinary, too expensive for what it is
Great bakery as well as coffee.
Terrible. I had the raspberry beignet and it was stale. Overpriced tourist trap.
Worth a taste!
An amazing bakery! One of the nicest customer service that I have experienced in Quebec. They took their time with us, answered all of the questions that we asked and were glad to help us out. It was great to know that the food was just as good as the service! The croissant and the hot chocolate with my favorite. A definite must for anyone visiting Quebec!
Must stop.
Very good food and fun setting
Great service and food.
Perfect and taste sandwiches
The most flaky croissants I've had outside of France. I had them 8 years ago and I still think about it to this day. I went here at 2pm and they were sold out of the regular croissants. So, come early. I got the ham and cheese and they heated it up nicely so it was very crisp and buttery. The ham isn't as salty as it is in the states. It was really good.
Open early is great. Perfect place for breakfast for early risers. Pastry was also absolutely awesome, and I just got back from France where I also ate a lot of pastry. This was top notch.
We went late afternoon and got the very last croissant! It was so buttery and flaky and I wish there was a second or 3rd piece for me! 😁 We also had the olive bread, and it was soft and chewy. We enjoyed every bite of it!
loved their hot chocolate!!
I was looking for a place where to have a cup of coffee and I found this place in the old town. I got a apple pastry which was good. The coffee wasn't that good.
10/10 carrot cake
We went to Paillard - Rue Saint Jean for teatime. This French- style artisan bakery and pastry shop is popularly known for their handcrafted bread and pastries. They have a selection of freshly baked pastries like Croissants, Croc Framboise, Chocolate Twist, Muffins, Galette Granola, Lemon Cake, Brioche, Cinnamon Rolls, Cranberry Loaves, Olive Batard, Baguette, Lemon Tartlets, Macaroons (various flavours), Quiche, Sandwiches, Sweet Desserts, Juices and Hot Beverages just to name a few. We ordered some pastries and they tasted buttery, flaky and full of deliciousness. We love the ambience and the whimsical bunnies decorations for Easter added a pleasant atmosphere. This Paillard bakery is highly rated by visitors for its high quality products and friendly service.
Opera was little dry but flavour was good Danish and cheese croissants was flavourful Tomato and Pesto bun was great
Chanced upon this cafe in our stroll in the old quarter of Quebec City. So glad we tried their pastries. So satisfying with lots of variety to try from sweet to savoury kind. The coffee is great too.
Summary Paillard is a hollow monument to its past. It was a reliable institution many years ago, but it has since succumbed to the terminal decay of the service industry. It is now defined by its own decline. The Experience The service is poor and rude. There is a palpable contempt for the patron. The staff offer only the cold indifference of a dying brand. The Food The quality has suffered a similar fate. Once excellent, it is now an exercise in mediocrity. It serves as a reminder that even established names can be hollowed out. The Verdict A shadow of its former self. There is no reason to return.
Came early in the morning for a great coffee and the best croissant ever tasted like heaven 😊
It beautiful. Fresh breads with so many choices. I love this place.
