The occasion was filled with remarkably fun and comfortable interactions. The dishes served were genuinely delicious, and the local crowd was incredibly nice. The employees maintained a remarkably friendly presence. Overall, it was a thoroughly nice experience that offered good quality at fair rates.

this restaurant has been in business for decades in the rapid come-and-go rhythm of Montreal restaurants, a sure mark of quality and good management. from the first step into this lovely restaurant, the smells of delicious food invade your nose and head and all of a sudden, you're STARVING! i always order the tasting menu, sometimes the vegan platter (like last night), sometimes the meat one. they are both savoury and delicious, wrapped in enjera, if there's anything left, i HAVE to take it home for a later meal. The service is elegant and friendly, and the place, even on a Wednesday night, is often packed. reservations highly recommended to avoid disappointment. they now have a terrasse, which on a warm summer night will be a treat.

We have been in Nil Bleu Restaurant twice when we travelled to Montreal and the food is amazing, very special and we liked the atmosphere as well. There is a big selection for vegetarians and vegans as well. Will definitely come back again and highly recommend ti everyone.

The food is great here. My wife and I arrived yesterday and everyone has been phenomenal. From the hotel staff to the chef in the kitchen. If you're montreal this place is a hidden gym! -James

Nil Bleu/Blue Nile is superb - so good, we went twice during the same trip to Montréal! Beautifully prepared Ethiopian food in an elegant, comfortable space, with friendly, attentive service. The two-course tasting menu offered a great selection of nine dishes from the larger menu - all were excellent and beautifully presented, with the Kitfo and eggplant appetizer both standing out. The Yebeg Alicha is now my all-time favourite lamb dish, anywhere (and the reason we went back and ordered à la carte!). The menu also offers extensive vegan/vegetarian options, and the drinks were top notch. Can’t wait to go back!

Made a reservation for two, got there in time but I was told they were not accepting any customers. Reason was the restaurant was packed and understaffed. A guy walked up to me shortly after telling me he was able to get a table even without a reservation. What was the point of a reservation though and why wait for us to get there before?

Poor customer service by the owner or manager. We had a kid and the told us to go in to the basement. I'm Eritrean that went to visit them from Toronto but when we experienced such horrible service we left and visited The Keg. I guess they don't want colored people lol.
