Delicious and expensive Ethiopian food. One of my favourite date night dinners in the area. The two person taster menu is an easy pick and the cocktails taste interesting!

We had the most lovely and delicious meal. The people that work here are extremely accommodating and make you feel welcome. We stayed in the hotel above the restaurant for two nights and wish we could have spent a week. Highly recommend both the restaurant and the hotel!

What a delightful experience. We had the tasting menu and every single item had an interesting and unique flavor to it. The staff are lovely. The restaurant is actually on two floors, so there is ample seating and the atmosphere stays calm and quiet

Great restaurant to discover Ethiopian food through their discovery menu in a more formal setting. The waiter took in our spice tolerance levels into account and subbed the spicier items on the menu (berbere chicken) with a less spicy protein option. It was very tolerable, and so he welcomed us to come back and try the chicken versions next time. They have a vegetarian friendly menu and the waiter explains everything that's on our plates, from a meat tartar, lamb stews, sautéed beef, salads and lentils/pea options. All served on a platters with traditional sourgum "crepe". Enjoy the meal eating eith your hands, or ask for utensils if that's what you prefer. The shared meal was very filling. Dessert options were more "western" and rich: chocolate-passion fruit mousse cake, chocolate and pecan cake, lemon & matcha tart or a coconut and white chocolate square.

Le Nil Bleu is guaranteed to exceed expectations, and most recently rolled out the red carpet for a special & unforgettable evening. All it took was the simplest form of advance notice, via "Her favourite place for Her birthday"... and their team took care of everything in nothing less than a world-class & high quality way. Supreme cuisine, stellar service, and the most sublime ambience that could be hoped for. Bravo, encore +1

Unfortunately the drinking water smelled and tasted a lot like chlorine (was obliged to buy a 10$ water bottle, which I usually don’t do) and the beer was very warm. The rest was delicious.

Rarely a restaurant will fill 5 stars out of five on all levels. Le Nil Bleu is one of this 5 stars. Despite the 30 years restaurant’s lifelong, i didn’t know about it. A small place beside a small hotel. PROS: 1. The decor is luxurious, upper and lower level, even the corridor to the bathroom and the bathroom itself are nicely decorated 2. Spotless clean everywhere; before the meal, we were handed white warm towels on a plate to clean our hands 3. I took the tasting dish, so small quantities to taste a bit of everything. It was delicious, flavourful, i couldn’t finish the second plate, i was full. 4. The waiters are bilingual, very respectfull, they explain every dish. Thank you Francis and thank you Stefano, who came out in the street with me to help with parking details. 5. Paid street parking or free after 9 pm

The food was absolutely delicious, the tasting menu is definitely the way to go! Servers were friendly, but before we even finished, in the middle of our dinner the waiter came to ask how we wanted to split the bills as the server was changing. If they knew they were not going to end the service in time I feel like asking at the time of ordering would be less disruptive. Then the replacement server came but disappeared and we were just left waiting to order our desserts. Finally a 3rd person came and said he had an emergency and had to leave so she was taking over. The servers were very pleasant, but I find it was a bit disorganized, though understandably emergencies happen, so I still give service 4 stars. The atmosphere was beautiful but our table was too close to the group next to us and one person was loud and obnoxious which was annoying, especially so close to us. Overall I'd definitely go back!

What a wonderful experience! Booked a table for my daughter’s 19th birthday. Food was excellent. Service was friendly, attentive and gracious. Made for a special night. Highly recommend. Will be back.

Possibly the best restaurant in Montreal. I had the tasting menu with a few friends. Glowing reviews from everyone. Everything was delicious and gluten free too.
