Stopped at the mall on my graduation trip. I ordered a pretzel and when the cashier left the machine with a printed receipt I, for some reason, assumed she wanted me to rip it myself. When I did, she gave me a dirty look and the rest of the workers talked bad about me because they assumed I couldn’t understand French. I am fluent. Ruined my day completely - I regret assuming she wanted me to take the receipt myself. Edit: thank you to the owner for an amazing response. I will not take you up on this offer but I really appreciate your understanding!!! Thank you again
