Worst experience as a tourist. We were a group of 12 people made up of 3 families. First of all as we are trying to get into the place we are told to shut the door. I mean at least let us inside first. We were then seated together and after 10 minutes when we were about to order we were told we couldn’t be accommodated as there was too many of us despite the area we were in was very quiet. The Manager was really rude and probably doesn’t like Indian families. She was telling us she couldn’t accommodate us and only changed her tone when she knew I started filming the conversation and then decided to see what she could do. However when we realised she was just standing around we decided to leave and go to another establishment where we spent around 300 CAD and received exceptional service. Avoid this place
Reviews / Ratings for Montréal poutine
Great experience at this restaurant !
This is hands down the best fries I’ve ever had. We’re talking about poutine — and this place takes it to another level. Perfectly crispy, freshly cut fries, rich and flavorful gravy, and fresh cheese that ties everything together — an absolute explosion of taste. On top of that, the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. Honestly, one of the best places I’ve ever tried. Highly, highly recommend — you have to try it!
Generous portions. Bilingual staff. Great poutine. Must try at least once in montreal.
Poutine was not bad, but water is not free??
Good food and portions. Great service
In the heart of Vieux Montreal, this odd s as place to enjoy the famous local poutine. Me? I chose the Putin with smoked meat, and was terrific. You? Well, come, make your choice and share your experience.
Mid restaurant in my opinion. The location was nice, we got seated next to the window so the view was great but the food was so so. The poutine was a bit too salty and the chicken seemed to be cooked for a bit too long.
This lovely little locale offers tasty food in a beautiful area.
I went to this place years ago as a teenager traveling with my team for a high school basketball tournament. Our whole team dined here, I was underaged then and was essentially coerced into leaving a large tip after the owner thought I didn’t tip him enough for having a poutine. Just came back to leave this review :)
No tap water? that's just cheapskate. I was used to come here with my friends and family who come visit me, but I'm not coming back again. The ambience and food is very low average. Luckily there's better options around.
Pleasant retro vibe, great service and probably the most savoury poutine we ever had - surprising gem in a rather touristy area, we loved this place. Particularly recommend the smoked meat poutine.
Unprofessional customer service.
My family and I had very uncomfortable expirence when we visited this resturant. The customer service that we received was unprofessional and racist. The moment we stepped inside the store crew is already telling us about the tip (which is fine to mention btw but the crew's tone made it sound like we're not gonna pay). Also, they were telling us to close the door already but all of us didnt even step inside yet. I wouldnt recommend this restaurant to everyone.
We brought a foreign guest with our family to this place. The apprentice server brought a hot serving of poutine right into our guest's lap. Manager on duty apologized, but the impression was already left.
Jenna was a very knowledgeable waitress and kind and brought a good vibe to our visit to montreal.
