We had dinner on a Friday with reservations which we would recommend. Our meal started with snails which were excellent. Our mains were steak fries and duck both of which were cooked exactly as we had asked. They have live music and while we had wanted to sit in the entertainment area we were seated in an adjacent room. This was a more private area and we could hear the music just fine. William was our waiter and he helped make our evening a hit. All the staff were very attentive. We will return.

We initially wanted to come for the table d'hôte but the dinner menu looked delicious so we just ordered from there. We ordered 2 dishes from the Classics side of the menu and 1 dish from the house specials. Classics included the Mushroom risotto, which was a cheesy goodness featuring plenty of mushrooms and the other was the mussels and fries, which it in itself is always a classic. The white wine sauce was so complimentary for dipping the fries in and the mussels were so fresh. The house specials featured the lamb chops, which I'm not usually a fan of, as sometimes too gamey, but these chops were cooked so well. The veggies were roasted so nicely, and included carrots, parsnips, zucchini and potatoes. We visited during lunch on a weekday, so it wasn't too busy. Perfect for a lunch date. The server and the manager were accommodating of our stroller and us baby wearing our baby while eating lunch. Such nice hospitality, will definitely visit again!

A very fancy restaurant with delicious food and lots of varieties. I really enjoyed our dinner there. The service was top, excellent, the food well served and tasty. Loved my experience.

Our server, Patrice was AWESOME! Very friendly and made us laugh all night. We felt like we were friends forever! We are visiting Montreal from the States and enjoyed every minute of our stay. No animosity here!

Great locale for a charcuterie and am afternoon drink on a snowy Montreal afternoon. I'll be back. Hope to take in some live music next time. Out waiter was attentive and the host Lorenzo top notch.

We went there with my wife for a very special occasion and it was a great experience! The food was delicious and Lorenzo made us feel very welcome and was incredibly funny in a friendly way. We’ll definitely come back next time we are in Montreal!

Great location in Old Montreal, and 4 of us visited the week of Happening Gourmand March/26. Great ambiance with or without the jazz music that started around 7 PM Priced competitively with a solid menu selection but we opted for the fix prix 2 course special and were not disappointed, and of course added dessert. Excellent drink list. Service with Rad was superb and when a server has been with the restaurant 29 years, that tells you something too. Definitely would visit again!

The location was in the Old Town of Montreal which was amazing. The service was great our server was really kind. The food was delicious and lastly enjoyed the live music and overall vibe

We had a nice dinner at Modavie restaurant. The place has a great atmosphere and feels lively, especially with the live music playing during the evening. We ordered salmon fillet with barley and a glass of wine. The food tasted fresh and was very tasty. The salmon was well prepared and the dish was nicely balanced. The restaurant was quite busy, which shows it’s a popular place. Because of the live music and the number of guests, it can also get a bit loud, but it adds to the energetic atmosphere. Overall, it’s a nice place with good food, live music, and a vibrant setting. 🎶🍷🐟

Service was friendly and ambiance was nice. Bread was fresh and butter was good. Jazz music was played live as we ate our tuna tartare, cod and rice with lobster bisque, steak and fries and crème brûlée 🍮 Street parking with meters.

We had a great day at Modavie. We had reservations at night but we were in the area in the afternoon so we stopped in. We had never been here before. We had a fabulous time listening to the live jazz music in the other room, enjoying some specialty drinks, and light food sitting at the bar. The manager (possibly the owner) who greeted us was ao nice!! He chatted with us in both languages and he was so charming and paid lots of attention to my Mom. We came back at night to a lovely table on the 2nd floor where we thoroughly enjoyed more live jazz music from a different trio. The manager/owner and the serving staff were once again amazing and the food was delicious. We are from Ottawa and my 80 year old mother hadn't been to Old Montreal in over 20 years and wanted to visit. Thanks to the manager, a very nice gentleman, its a great experience she will never forget. On the way out, the manager went out of his way during a busy time for him, to catch up to my Mom as she was about to step into the street, to say thank you. Its the little things that matter the most and we will never forget this restaurant and we highly recommend it after two visits in the same day. Thank you for the memorable day!!

The cocktails were sublime and the fois gras absolutely delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed the live music coming from the back room as we dined at the bar. Presentation, flavor, and service on point, no notes. The staff were all bilingual which is immensely helpful as a tourist. The atmosphere upstairs is quite nice, but the women's bathroom should be avoided if possible.

Amazing experience ! The atmosphere is warm and elegant, and the live music adds a really special touch. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, and the service was attentive and friendly. A wonderful restaurant in Old Montreal that I would definitely recommend.
