I went there yesterday with 17 family members because a friend of mine is always hyping this place up. We made a reservation in advance, and somehow no one thought it was important to mention that we’d be forced into a fixed menu. So we get there, start looking at the menu like normal people, and suddenly we’re told we don’t have a choice. At that point, it’s not even about the menu anymore, it’s the fact that no one communicated this beforehand. What really made it worse was the attitude. Instead of owning the miscommunication, the staff immediately started blaming us, like we were supposed to just magically know. They even tried to gaslight us into believing they had already told the person who reserved about it, which simply wasn’t true. No apology, no effort to fix it, just rude, dismissive, and honestly disrespectful. We ended up leaving, which was embarrassing and a complete waste of time with that many people. If this is how they treat customers, I genuinely don’t understand the hype. The lack of basic communication and the attitude alone are enough to make sure I never come back. If you’re planning to go, double check everything because clearly they won’t bother telling you.

My friends and I discovered this restaurant a Saturday night. The food was truly amazing and everything came out hot and fresh. The service was one of the best I’ve had (thank you Karla) and there was even live music! I would highly recommend this place

I was craving a fattoush salad and this place was suggested in Uber Eats. The vegetables were fresh and crispy and the dressing made with quality ingredients and a perfect balance between sweet and tart. I also tried the sujook rolls and it smelled and tasted fantastic. Everything was very well-packaged. I’m excited to try other items from the menue.

Food was good but when it was time to pay, the payment terminal did not offer a “No Tip” option, which felt uncomfortable. I selected the “Custom” option and entered an amount below 15%, but the machine did not process the payment. The waiter told me that the minimum tip was 15% and I can’t customize or choose any smaller amount than this. This made me feel pressured, as I understand tipping in Canada to be optional. Customers should feel comfortable with their payment choices. Unfortunately, this experience affected my overall impression and I don’t think I will go eat there again.

Karla welcomed me and my family as if we were back home in Lebanon. We felt nostalgic and it was amazing to be here, especially with the Saturday night entertainment. Oh let's not forget, the food is off the hook. Dont miss out

I recently visited Lylac, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The atmosphere felt warm and authentic, the food was full of rich flavours, and every dish tasted freshly prepared. What stood out even more was the service (Carla) genuinely welcoming, attentive, and delivered with a personal touch that made the meal even more enjoyable.

First and last time Food was good, but too pricey. There was one tomato, kebab and thebread. The waitress told me to tip her 20% instead of me choosing how much i want to tip her. Service was very slow. I would not go again, and i dont recommend..

First off, Lylac restaurant is absolutely beautiful! I love the decor and cleanliness! 💜, the service is great! They are very friendly and professional 😊! I love the atmosphere and the Arabic music, it gives a good vibe 🔥! The food is well presented, authentic, unique and delicious ! 🤤 The prices are worth it ! I recommend the Halloumi fried cheese rolls and the shawarma platters as well as the meats on the grill! I would eat here again in a blink of an eye! I give Lylac and strong 4 out of 5 🥰!

Honestly, this is our go-to restaurant next time we visit in Montreal. We drove all the way from Ottawa, and I have to say, Lylac is a restaurant my family and I will go back to. To start, the service was unbelievable. They were checking our table every 5 minutes to see if we needed anything. Not only one person, but we had a rotation of different servers checking the table and bringing us this hot, amazing fresh bread. The food was absolutely amazing; the portions were great, and the taste was unbelievable. For entertainment, there was also lots of fun, especially the DJ between the singers. It was a great combination. If I have to say what was the best, it was the service with their beautiful, genuine smiles. The way they served was off the charts. I strongly recommend this place if you're looking for one place that has it all; you definitely cannot go wrong.
