I went to this beautiful restaurant and had such a lovely waiter that showed great hospitality. It was so nice that I returned a few days later with my husband and sat at the bar. What a different experience. The young woman tending the bar was brusque, condescending and started spray cleaning the bar on either side of us after we ordered dessert! We were well within closing time but I guess she wanted to start her cleaning early. Not great.

We had a group of ten for dinner and the experience was fantastic. The hostess was pleasant and accommodating while the waiter was personable yet professional. However the food was the star of the evening. From presentation to timeliness, despite our group size, the quality and taste were exquisite. A memorable experience from beginning to end.

We’re very happy to have found this solid French bistro on our trip. Their food was cooked to perfection. We enjoyed every bite. Their service was impeccable. We will definitely come back!

We had a wonderful dining experience here! Everything was absolutely perfect. The service was top-notch—they kept bringing us warm, fragrant complimentary bread without us even having to ask. Every dish we ordered, including the escargot, lamb chops, steak, and duck confit, was delicious. Highly recommended!

Arrived for supper on a snowy Montreal evening. Reservations are recommended. We were given our choice of two tables. Our server was courteous and knowledgeable, recommending a wine for my wife, which she truly enjoyed. We chose the fish of the day to share for our entree. The sea bass was perfectly cooked and delicately seasoned, accompanied by a selection of root vegetables. Perfect! Dessert was profiteroles, which were delicious, especially when smothered in warm chocolate sauce. The atmosphere was not too noisy and the tables are spaced sufficiently to permit private conversation. Overall, a very enjoyable ding experience.

Le Pois Penché is love at first spoon. The best onion soup in Montreal — rich, perfectly balanced, and absolutely unforgettable. The service is outstanding: very attentive, professional, and genuinely warm staff who make you feel truly welcome. The atmosphere is elegant and cozy at the same time. I was extremely happy with my experience and will definitely be coming back.

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was truly outstanding. Our waiter was incredibly friendly and attentive. We were celebrating our friend’s anniversary, and he kindly took us to a beautiful private area and even did a small photo session for us — such a lovely touch. The interiors are elegant and very stylish, creating a special atmosphere. I had the black cod and my husband ordered the duck confit — both dishes were cooked perfectly. A place we would happily return to.

Easily one of the best French restaurant we have visited. It's located right at downtown Montreal, only 5 minutes drive from most hotel in the area. The oysters were fresh and packed with flavour. The baguette is impossibly soft, we could not believe it. Lamb was slow cooked to perfection, taste amazing and the texture is soft, charcolly on the outside and super soft on the inside. On top of that the staff is so friendly made us feel right at home. It was my birthday dinner, I got a suprise treat and live performance of the happy birthday song. Unforgettable memory!

This restaurant is truly excellent and worth every penny. We sat at the bar and Emma took care of us. She was so sweet and lovely and made the *BEST* recommendations. Do NOT miss out on the scallop ceviche. Every recommendation she made was out of this world. We will definitely go back! Thank you, Emma!
