Excellent dinner at Le Lapin Sauté. We ordered the roast duck magerit (generous portion size of tender and juice roasted duck with roasted potatoes in gravy, stuffed rabbit saddle, and tout lapin and canard - a sharing tasting plate for two). Finished with salted honey pie, maple creme brûlé and the molten chocolate cake. Service was friendly and environment was cosy and comfortable. I would recommend.

Wonderful all around. Great space, so cozy, amazing food. Can't wait to go back next time visiting!
Onion soup is a killer-really enjoyed for brunch after cold walk.
terrible food, the wrong dishes were served twice. I would not eat it again.
Amazing food, atmosphere and service! And very kid friendly with a great kid’s menu. We ordered the Tout lapin tout canard and it gave us a yummy sample of lots of variety of duck and rabbit, out of which, our favourite is the duck leg confit and duck foie gras. Their bread is also fresh and delicious!
Food was delicious, our server was attentive and very kind. It is also the cutest, coziest spot. 10/10 recommend.
WOW. What a find!!
Wow. Just wow. My daughter and I started with an appetizer of cheese, fondue each and boy are we glad we didn’t share one of those because frankly, we each could’ve eaten two or three of them. They were so good. I mean really really great. We then split the Rabbit stew with a pastry top. Also delicious and highly recommended. We topped it off with a crème brûlée Since we are fans of that dessert. We had tried four other crème brûlée across old Quebec during the week and this one was by far the absolute best. Overall, a really terrific meal and a really relaxed and intimate atmosphere.
Delicious food, and great environment. I love the rabbit poutine
Loved my experience at this restaurant. The service was excellent and the food and drinks were delicious. The music was very nice. I enjoyed my dinner.
Great Appetizers, the Rest Falls Short We went for lunch on a weekday. The restaurant has a cozy, homey atmosphere in the best sense, and the presentation of every dish was beautiful. Service was attentive throughout the meal. The real highlight here is the duck foie gras. It was outstanding, served with a ¿beet? jam that was absolutely delicious and paired perfectly. The onion soup was also good. For mains we ordered two rabbit dishes: the rabbit leg and the stuffed rabbit. Both were fine, but considering the restaurant’s reputation and focus on rabbit, we were expecting something a bit more memorable. Desserts were less successful. The honey tart had a very good base, but there was too much salt. The chocolate cake simply wasn’t great Unfortunately, the coffee was the weakest part of the meal. The filtered coffee tasted burnt, and the cappuccino was essentially the same coffee covered with a very large layer of milk foam, beautiful to look at, but it didn’t hide the burnt taste. Overall, the starters were the highlight, but the mains, desserts, and coffee didn’t reach the same level, which made the overall experience feel average rather than memorable.
Wonderfully cozy atmosphere with lots of character and charm. Service was friendly and helpful and the food was tasty - the onion soup stole the show.
Our lunch was so good we returned the following day for dinner. Very French French, lovely atmosphere made even better by lovely staff. Specialiser on Rabbit and duck, the sharing board with added frois Grois was delightful for lunch and the duck and rabbit cassoulet a real treat on the evening meal. The mid evening times were booked 24 hours before so consider early booking although reckon they keep some for walk ins. Highly recommended.
all the food was of extremely good quality
Great meal and atmosphere.
Had a wonderful birthday dinner here with Megan, our server, who was very welcoming, informative and funny. She topped off the dessert with a candle and yummy maple cream liqueur. A special evening with incredible food and service.
Very delicious food and friendly staff. It's a small restaurant so I'd highly recommend making a reservation beforehand! Absolutely loved it
Definitely worth the effort of getting a reservation as early as possible
Every dish was delicious and the staff were very friendly. Relaxed atmosphere!
We loved our dining experience at Le Lapin Sauté. Fantastic food (we shared the fondue (delicious!) and a winter salad and I had the rabbit saddle and my husband had the duck cassoulet), excellent service and a super-cozy atmosphere. I'm so glad we dined there on our February 2026 trip to Quebec City!
We came here for Valentine’s Day and got a reservation! We ordered the rabbit leg, duck leg, with Duck Sausage combo – all were very flavorful and tender. We also tried the duck breast( Duck Magret) , which was cooked perfectly, and the peppercorn sauce was amazing. Their sangria was delicious too! The staff were very friendly and attentive without being intrusive. We really enjoyed our visit and highly recommend it!
Lovely, cozy little spot with great food. If you like rabbit in all different variations this is the place to go to!
Wanted to try food know for the area and was not disappointed. Great taste and presentation for open minded customers , I had a plate of rabbit meat prepared in variety. Service was great , it was nice to see smily welcoming staff faces. Restaurant is super small and obviously popular , kinda tight .
Warm, cosy small restaurant in Quebec's old town. Friendly and helpful service. We particularly liked the rabbit pot pie.
Famous for duck & rabbit platter
