We did a later reservation on Sat. night. Warm & cozy room with a window by the table - optimal people watching in early October. Our server was an amazing bearded fella who dazzled from the start. Great discussion on menu items & portion sizes & more importantly, the wine list. He brought us 4 bottles, described each one with detail & we chose a natural white from Alsace. Whew - dinner was absolutely amazing. The menu was so seasonal perfect. A dish that seems simple in words, you just know it's going to be anything but. Lobster mushroom skewers & scallop crudo started the ride. Just edible art. Everything on the plate pops up in flavor & fades away in perfect balance & texture. Moved into the lobster tail confit & cornish hen. Again, simple words that arrive in intricate detail. Lobster perfect texture & roller coaster of flavor in the sauce. Then the chanterelles, snail & truffle in the sauce of perfectly cooked hen. Seriously, sauces you want to have a facial of. Can't not mention the radicchio salad w/ the hen, white BBQ sauce, blue cheese & raspberry ?! Outstanding deliveries from the kitchen. Dessert perfect in every way - Autumn Foilage & Mirabella. And then our server surprised us w/ an amazing after dinner liquer. What an amazing way to end a few days in QBC. Can't say enough of about how amazing our server was. So warm, detailed, knowledgable, and in control of an amazing ride. Thank you so much.

This is a 4.5. Good food but small portions without much variety. We ended off with. Blackberry desert and it was one of the best we’ve had. The atmosphere and food are both great, certainly worth a try!

Good, but in need of some work. For it's reputation some dishes were, despite containing unusual ingredients, rather mundane. The urchin omelette, for example, just tasted of massive amounts of cream cheese.

My Foccacia bread arrived on the table and I asked for olive oil and balsamic vinegar and the waitress replied that there's no balsamic, I can understand if not available but the waitress she made faces. This is not acceptable, she ruin our brunch time in the restaurant. Remember one thing provide better Customer service. That waitress need a customer service training.We don't come back here anymore.

The brunch was good but not impressive as people hyped. Staff was nice but they got my order wrong (vegetables vs truffle potatoes which I didn’t order) I ended up just taking it and it was tasty but I would prefer they get the order right… overall vibe is great but probably not going to eat there again.

Very busy spot. Staff were friendly but certainly not attentive. No one checked in with us at any point during our meal and our glasses remained empty for the duration of our meal. It was like we were invaible the second our food was dropped off. Food was quite tasty, but overall we wouldn't return because of inattentive service.

We arrived late at night in Quebec city , most of restaurants are closed, found this still opened, walk in as last customer of the night, very good service , menu is very creative too especially the foiegras sauce with fruits. It is small portion of the foods. Fantastic tastes. Highly recommended.

Super gluten-free friendly! I’m used to just taking whatever I can at brunch spots and not wanting to bother anyone about my celiac disease. I simply mentioned I couldn’t have bread, and the waiter asked if it was gluten-related. The kitchen then made me a delicious full plate with gluten-free bread and sides without me even asking! Really appreciated the kindness and care. Great food and wonderful staff. Highly recommend!

i first came here in 2024 and i remember being really impressed by the food. stopped by again this weekend for brunch with friends, and was disappointed as the food was not as good as i remembered it, service was really slow, and the tables felt sticky and unclean. the carrot cake French toast was good but that's all we can recommend

They do have very creative menu items but overall I failed to see where the Michelin recommendation came from. I ordered the uni omelette on toast. It was great, however I was not able to taste the uni and there were too much cream cheese.

Super disappointed after reading many positive reviews. Service was poor, very slow and rather inattentive and the kitchen pace was terribly slow. The dining room was at about 60-70% capacity, so surprised at how long the food took (waited about 25+mins for our appetizer and then an additional 45+mins for our mains (party of 2). All in all we were there for 2 hrs and had 1 appetizer and 2 mains (and we’re not slow eaters!). We declined dessert as we didn’t want to wait an additional 20/30mins for it. For food, we loved our appetizer (foie gras terrine which was actually a mousseline the night we ate) and the pasta dish was delicious. The trout was so-so, texture too soft and off-putting as it was maybe sous vide (although that wasn’t mentioned in the menu).

We had dinner and were quite disappointed with our experience, especially given the restaurant’s Michelin recognition. The descriptions and presentations of the dishes sounded much more impressive than what we actually experienced. For the appetizer, we ordered the Grilled Confit Lobster with Mushroom on the Skewer. Unfortunately, we could not find or taste a single piece of lobster meat in the dish. The presentation was beautiful, but the actual dish did not live up to the description. For the main course, we ordered the trout from Les Bobines fish farm. Again, the presentation was attractive, but the portion was surprisingly small, especially for a main course.

Just didn't meet expectations. The Hobbit looks a cut above the rest, in a street full of restaurants, mainly at the Pizzaria level. Looking for a special meal, their menu looks very good. Don't misunderstand, the dishes looked lovely and were well presented, the server was friendly and did each offering justice. BUT, overall, every dish was just not warm enough, the lobster tail was tasty, but disappointly luke warm, my trout was cold and flavourless, overpowered by a sauce too high in an unpleasant flavour, but also cold. Overall, the meal was rescued by a couple of stonking deserts, particularly the Mirabella. Nice meal, but oh, it could have been so much more!

Le Hobbit is my favorite restaurant so far on my stay in Québec. I love Tolkien's worlds, but if that's not your interest don't worry, the space is well designed and thoughtful with indoor and outdoor seating. I am only English speaking and Le Hobbit was able to easily accommodate me. The dishes were fun, innovative and delicious. I had tried many new things and enjoyed them all. Weekend morning was quite busy but they had room for my wife and I. Monday morning I arrived shortly after open and it was a nice quiet place to enjoy a breakfast, wonderful espresso and a great start to the day. You won't just get breakfast, every component is dialed up to 11. Staff were knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend you try something new at Le Hobbit.

A wonderful discovery in town! We went as 2 adults and 1 child and the service was excellent from start to finish - very attentive and welcoming with our little one. To start we had the Soup of the day and the Focaccia maison et beurre composé with a cappuccino - all delicious. I ordered the Gaufres et poulet frit and it was wonderful! Perfectly crispy, juicy and very flavorful. Highly recommend it. Fernando ordered the Donair à la Halifax. It was our least favorite, not because it was bad at all, but because of the quite strong lamb flavor. Anyone who loves lamb will love it! We were just trying something different this time, it's just not to our personal taste.

Food was great, the restaurant really has evolved over the years and refined itself. The staff we're very kind but not very attentive about serving water, picking up empty plates and cups. A side from that, it was a wonderful experience.

I ordered the classic with an extra egg. My partner ordered the sea urchin scrambled eggs. Hers was fantastic. The urchin gave it some umami without being overpowering.. I loved my toast that had a delicious grilled and blackened feel, and the jam was perfect. The eggs were good and the potatoes were just okay, surprisingly bland for how good they looked.
