The food and atmosphere were fine, but we were very uncomfortable with the service encounter at payment. When my party selected 'no tip' on the card terminal, the server confronted us directly, stated that tipping at least 15% was mandatory, restarted the machine, and handed it back to force the selection. Tipping in Quebec is customary, not legally mandatory, and forcing a tip onto a customer is unprofessional. It was an uncomfortable experience for visitors, and we hope management addresses staff expectations regarding bill payment.

Very delicious! The dessert was unfamiliar to us and not as enjoyable as we had hoped for $20, however, it was an experience. On the whole, we enjoyed our lunch! Great service!!

The server was obnoxious, slow, and unapologetically made a number of errors. Food was good when it finally arrived (corrected). Nice patio. It’s a shame the service ruined the experience.

We went for breakfast, we had to wait over 5 minutes before anyone even offered us coffee. Nobody asked if we wanted anything else to drink, nobody came and checked in on us periodically, we waited quite a while to order food and then more than half an hour from ordering before it came to our table. My husband said his crepes tasted like they had been sitting for a while once we had gotten it. Other tables had sat down, ordered and received their food as well as ate, paid and left before we got our food. Our server then rushed us out the door by bringing us our bill, nobody even bothered to try and talk to us at all and he only seemed slightly more pleasant once we had given him a tip, even though we had received such poor service.

Agreeing with other reviewers saying the portion is a bit small. We visited on a weekend morning for breakfast they are understaffed. There was only 1 server/host and she was spread too thin. For the prices they charge they should hire more staff so that the service is better. The food was delicious but their coffee latte was not good.

Very disappointing experience. The food took forever to arrive . The pizza was not well cooked , so we had to ask the waiter to get us a new pizza. Paid over 100$ for bad/soggy pizza and leaving the resto not fully full . Definitely do not recommend at all. I also noticed that most of their lowest reviews are from people who ordered pizza. If you want pizza definitely go elsewhere.

We had lunch here one day and breakfast the next day. The burrata salad with warm pear was delicious as was the calamari. For breakfast, the egg Benedict with salmon was great. Overall a decent and welcoming restaurant in a very tourist heavy area.

We loved our experience at Le Grand Café! The food was amazing. We had a ceasar salad, a thin crust pizza and a couple of beer. A simple meal done to perfection! I can still taste the mozzarella. We sat outside, loved the vibe. Highly recommend and will return when in Quebec again.

Horrible food, strawberry were moldy and not enough food. We ordered 3 orders of egg Benedict , each order only came with 1 side of egg Benedict with a little bit of potatoes, blueberry and moldy strawberries. I was expecting 2 sides of egg benedict for the amount we paid ( $17 each from promorabais including coffee or tea). The waitress did not even recommend my grandson something else to drink since he doesn't drink coffee or tea. I do not recommend it and would not go back.
