This place hits the mark on so many levels. The food is masterfully prepared and served using curated local ingredients. They plates are well explained and delicious. We had the discovery menu of 5 courses (chefs choice) and added fois gras and scallops and champagne and red wine with our meal…..it’s a do over for sure. The restaurant is in an old charming elegant home with fire places and open beamed cowlings. The tables are large and very well spaced and the many service staff are all prepared to assist, polite and elegant. The 5 course dinner is a roughly a 2.5 hour event allowing time to savour and digest in between courses. Although a 2hour service I think would be just as good. There are not many places where you can eat food of this quality in the area so I’m just glad it’s 25-30 min from home. All this being said they had more te h issues with payment machines that evening and were not overly polite about it. The called a few days later demanding payment by interact, which they received, as they could not close their machine, had tu use multiple machine that evening as they were not charged but the experience was not great at the end, due to that. It ended really poorly, and sadly that’s what we remember. The staff not being elegant at the end does not help….dont let this take away from eating good food but at the same time do be sure
