Lovely people and very welcoming service. They go their way out to accommodate you and make you feel comfortable. The food is amazing too and I love the tea!!

We ordered delivery before, but today we went to dine in! Everything was so delicious and flavourful. The people who run it are so warm and kind! Environment is so cozy! We got a little shot of lentil soup with a spiced chip. There was also a spin a wheel, we won baba ganoush AND baklava. It’s like they knew it was just my birthday. We both got a plate, it comes with so many options… The Mujadara was dreamy with the juicy Msakhan chicken. My new favourite place to eat, it’s healthy and a hug to the soul 🥰

First time trying the Palestinian and Syrian food. It was excellent! Palestinian chicken with sumac was delicious!

When we tried to adjust our order because items were unavailable, the staff refused and pressured us into ordering more food than we wanted. When we decided to leave, they even attempted to charge us simply for sitting at the table. To make matters worse, the owner was rude and dismissive. The entire experience was unprofessional, and we will not be returning to this restaurant.

We would like to clarify that we never charge guests simply for sitting at a table — this is not and has never been our policy. Regarding the order, our team explained that our platters consist of small portions and are designed for one person, which is part of our concept. We apologize if this was not communicated clearly or if it caused any frustration. We always aim to be transparent about our menu and to provide a pleasant experience, and we regret that this was not how it felt during your visit.

For the first time in my life, I was told I couldn't share the food I pay for! We ordered two lentil soups and wanted to share a set meal because we don't eat much. We were shocked when we were informed that sharing the set was not allowed. We ended up eating the lentil soup and then leaving. While the soups were good, they were relatively small for the price and seemed watered down compared to the small appetizers we received at the beginning. We will not be returning to Le Chef again! To the owner: Please spare your insincere sorries!

We saw this restaurant on Google Maps and we had craved Lebanese food and we saw the high reviews and we were so excited to go and try the food. They have combo options and we decided to not do that so we try more of the entrees. We order the hummus, fatoush salad as starters and the mousaka, Roúleaux Msakhan, ush Al bol bol. The hummas was very delicious and it was one of best hummas that I've ever tried. But everything else was very average and nothing special. The menus that we were handed were faded and we couldn't even read them. We were given a shot of a soup when we got there which was actually very delicious. The mousaka was very average and it was a mix of cold and hot toppings which was strange. The Msakahan was a mixed of weet and tangy flavor but it wasn't anything special. The ush Al bol bol was very tasteless. Neither the pastry nor the meat had much flavor to it. We even asked for side plates so we can share our food and the server didn't even understand our question and said everything is served in individual plates. Overall not a 4.9 star experience. If anything it was a 3 star. I think the reason why they have such high reviews is because they offer a free tea if you write a Google review. Not recommended.

We waited almost half an hour before anyone came to take our order. When they finally did, we ordered one combo plate plus another dish. We were then told the additional dish was unavailable, so we asked to add one more protein to the combo instead. Surprisingly, they refused and insisted that we must order two separate combos. We explained that we were only two people and that I simply couldn’t eat that much. Instead of offering a reasonable solution, they tried to force us into ordering more food than we wanted. When we decided to leave, we were shocked to be told that we should be charged $20 just for occupying the table — despite not having ordered or eaten anything. This behavior was extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. While we can’t comment on the food quality since we never got to try it, the customer service was frustrating and unacceptable.

Thank you for your feedback. It seems there was a misunderstanding regarding our policies. We never ask guests to pay $20 just for sitting at a table. Regarding the combo plates, we’re unable to modify them, as each is designed as a complete menu option.

We had a truly pleasant experience at Le Chef. It’s a lovely family-run restaurant, managed by the owners themselves, which makes the atmosphere feel warm and welcoming. The food is varied and absolutely delicious, with the opportunity to taste many different dishes and flavors. Everything feels homemade and prepared with care. A special touch is their Saturday evening event, which adds a great vibe and makes the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

More than a restaurant. An experience. Absolutely must visit if you are in Montreal. The food, unpretentious atmosphere, and hospitality are all exceptional. I came with a group of six and we tried most options on the menu. Everything (even the rice) was perfectly seasoned and struck us with awe. My new favorite restaurant in the world.

Delicious food at this cozy restaurant that serves Middle Eastern fare. We both had the chicken bowl but got different options so were able to taste items from Syrian, Palestinian and Lebanese cuisines. Everything was full of flavour and tasted great.
