Food was delicious with a lot of taste without being too powerful. The service was fast with a lot of little attentions: a lentil soup at the beginning, a tea at the end and a lot of smiles. A great experience. I would definitely go back!

We had a lunch reservation here Monday, the food was really tasty and we had a wonderful and warm welcoming atmosphere from the employee who served us, starting with a warm washcloth, a nice lentil soup, and ending with some tea after a very filling meal. Will definitely be back!

Such a great experience. The food was delicious, fresh and full of flavor. The service was just as great as the food. The staff were kind, attentive, and very welcoming. Definitely a spot I’d recommend, and I’ll for sure be coming back.

The atmosphere and hospitality made us feel like we had left Canada entirely and were having dinner at a big family’s home! We unknowingly came in for the live music soirée and it ended up being so much fun - a party over so much delicious food we were almost overwhelmed. Merci beaucoup Le Chef!

I attended this restaurant with group of people. The food tastes good. The people working there are very welcoming and nice.. However I felt bad about few things: 1- I left the table for few minutes to take a picture with traditional Palestinian jacket...when I come back I didn't find my food!! They considered that I finished eating, took and threw my food. Please ask the client if he/she finished eating before taking the plates especially that they were not empty:( I ate just one piece of chicken from my msakhan plate before they threw it and they didn't have more msakhan to redo another plate. Same thing happened for my cup of water! I was sitting on the table and drinking water. When I was looking to the my friends dancing, someone come and took my cup of water and wasn't empty! 2- the bill was too high! I paid 50$. No one knew that putting music for the group with a derbakeh man will cost 10$ extra per person!! You have to inform the clients about these extras before giving him the service! + the women brought juice for everyone in the group, I didn't ask for juice so I thought that it is offered by the restaurant 😅. Even if we are group, you should confirm with each person if he/she like to have a juice...Maybe I don't want a juice or maybe I want a different type of juice...so nothing was clear from the beginning that juice, tea or derbakeh costs all these extras. Some lebanese restaurant offer a free tea or coffee after food to the client, you should mention that it costs extra. 3- I was shocked by 50$ I paid because all extras were a surprise to me and to all other persons in the group. The person on the caisse felt bad because I didn't give a tip, he wanted 15% on the 50$!!! Although that we really enjoyed the food and environment, but with 50-70$ I can attend a good evening with open buffet and DJ and even singers in other restaurants in Montreal and laval! You threw my food and cost us a lot of surprises extra and you want me to pay tips also?! 😅

The food here was EXCELLENT! And there were lots of little free extras, like the soup at the beginning of the meal and the tea at the end. The service was attentive and helpful without being intrusive. I would definitely come back here. It is a perfect place to eat before or after visiting the art gallery.

I have lunch here almost every day, and it never disappoints. The food is consistently delicious, the prices are very reasonable, and the service is absolutely amazing. One of my favorite places to eat, highly recommended!

Food was fresh, wholesome and delicious! The lentil soup was the best I have ever had. Maskhan Chicken (with Sumac), Daoud Bacha meatballs and Awarma was delicious. The toasted almonds on top of their dishes was not only aesthetically appealing but creates an enjoyable mix of textures and enhances the flavour. I enjoyed the tabbouleh as well. We ordered the pot of the tea and wow, I loved it! Thank you 😊

Honestly, this spot is such a gem! Incredible food, service, and price. I ordered the chicken bowl and my friend ordered one of the beef options. We were both blown away. I’ll definitely be back.

Honestly when I was looking for a restaurant in the downtown montreal and I saw the rate of Le Chef, I was impressed. First I came in the atmosphere looks cozy and friendly. But when someone came to get the order 3 times consist on the combo option is for one person and when order one to share, she had a very bad behavior after our order that we had a bad feeling about everything!!! I won't go there for sure but, I can guarantee it doesn't look a 4.9 restaurant at all!
