We made our reservation one month in advance at Restaurant Piazza Sheraton Laval for a very special occasion a private gender reveal dinner ith just my wife and our 2 year old daughter on Valentine day. This was an intimate and meaningful moment for our family. I am writing this review to provide constructive feedback, not to criticize unfairly. As a restaurant owner myself, I understand how valuable honest feedback can be. When arrived at the restaurant we wanted a more private table due to the nature of our celebration. Unfortunately, that request was refused, and we were seated at the very first table at the entrance directly in front of the walkway with constant traffic from hotel guests passing by. This was disappointing, as it did not provide the privacy we had hoped for during such a personal moment. Upon arrival, we had requested a high chair for our daughter, but unfortunately it was never provided. This was disappointing especially since we had mentioned weeks it in advance thru open table application. The service was fast and efficient, which we appreciated. However, the main issue was the food quality and taste. The dishes lacked flavor overall. The same plain red sauce is used for the calamari, the pasta, and the pizza. There was no noticeable garlic, onions, salt, or pepper just a very basic tomato sauce without depth or seasoning. The pizza was overcooked and very hard, we were unable to eat it. On a positive note, the filet mignon was good, and the calamari were well cooked. For a bill of $220, no bottle of wine, for two adults and a 2 year old child, we expected a much higher level of flavor and attention to detail. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not recommend the restaurant if asked. I genuinely hope this feedback is taken constructively, as there is clear potential with some improvements to the menu and quality control.
