Overrated! Very oily poutine Service isn’t good, they didn’t even provide us with forks for the takeaway order
I had a really good experience at La Banquise! The food was absolutely delicious and I can totally understand why this place is so famous. Everything we ordered was super tasty and definitely worth the hype. The only downside is that the restaurant isn’t very big, so there’s usually a line to get in because everyone wants to eat there. The place also felt a bit overcrowded and the service was a little slow, probably because it was so busy. But honestly, even with the wait and the crowd, it was still worth it. If you’re visiting Montreal, I definitely think this place is something you should try at least once!
Road trip to Montreal isn’t complete if you didn’t get the most legendary Poutine from La Banquise😮💨We got their La Fred Caillou, it’s got all the MEATS from Ground Beef, Smoked Meat, Spicy Sausage to Merguez Sausage! Their Fries are incredibly crispy, topped with the BEST Cheese Curds (it’s more fresh in MTL, trust) and perfectly seasoned Gravy! Cheese pull guaranteed every time!
La Banquise is a must-visit! They absolutely nail their vegetarian options. I tried La Veggie Reggie (loaded with peppers, onions, and mushrooms) and L’Ovni (topped with ground veggie corn dog and pickles)—both were fantastic! The vegetarian gravy is rich and savory, the fries stay crispy, and there are tons of squeaky cheese curds. Fast service and an amazing atmosphere!
Great poutine, huge portions, and friendly service at La Banquise. The line can get long, but the food definitely makes up for it.

There was a line outside the restaurant, and it seems like it’s always crowded. The food was delicious but not worth the long wait or lines. I am pretty sure you can find the same poutine any other good place.
Best poutine place in Montreal!! We went at 8:30pm on a Saturday and waited in line for half an hour. But it was worth the wait. We ordered La Sud Ouest and La Royale. Yummy.
The food was very dissappointing as Montreal is supposed to have great poutine. Had much better poutine in Toronto. The server was not friendly, maybe because we did not speak French, she was non verbal, she just brought our food and the machine for us to pay

Delicious Poutine
This is arguably one of the most popular poutine places in the Montreal. Unlike other places, their poutine sauce is vegetarian and not beef based. There was a queue and we had to wait for around 20 minutes before we got the table. We ordered the La Veggie Reggie (large) poutine as we wanted to order a vegetarian option. It was sufficient for 5 people. The poutine was so good. It’s a must try. The service was great. Overall, I totally recommend this place to everyone.

crowded, but very well organized. my take out was ready in ~25 min (line + pickup) which is great. if you choose to sit inside, be ready to smell like poutine for a few hours

I remember going here over 15 years ago after the club and honestly not liking it at all. Decided to give it another try recently and WOW it was seriously delicious!! The Elvis poutine was so good. Only downside was the guy taking orders on the phone. I called for pickup and simply said no mushrooms. He was rushing so much he didn’t even let me ask for an alternative before blurting out the price and pickup time. When I asked if I could replace the mushrooms with onions instead, he sighed dramatically and said “now I need to cancel the order and start all over again.” 🙄 At least the lady at the counter was really nice.
We had a wonderful time here. The ordering was very easy and the staff was so friendly. We loved the food and the vibe was very nice. I’ll be coming back to try different things on the menu. This is a great spot for anyone looking for a positive and enjoyable experience. Highly recommend!

I went this morning for a poutine with my wife. No more poutine cheese.... This is a Poutine restaurant. They should have backup plans for this. Send someone to victoriaville to get cheese FAST! Its so ridiculous for a poutine restaurant to run out of poutine cheese.
As advertised It's casual, loud and a lot of fun. The food is good and the portions are massive.

We ordered two poutines La Duleton and Le Chicks both were really delicious and more than enough to satisfy our appetite the atmosphere is really nice too the tables are small but I liked it
Yummiest poutine I ever tried in Canada. And good price. Regular size is supposed to be for one person, but too big for me. Still satisfied with the taste and the price tho.
Definitely a good place if you want to try poutine. We ordered a grande and every one said it’s too big hence must be shared. We thought it was decent size. Not too large that you cannot finish by yourself. Place gets quite busy and parking was a little hectic. But overall experience was nice
