Our first experience at Hiatus was fantastic and we will definitely be back. The atmosphere & the view were amazing, Mika provided excellent service, menu and wine guidance and truly added to our experience. The food was excellent, delicious and well presented. I have only positive things to say. Hiatus was recommended to us by a family member and I now highly recommended it myself!

The food was delicious and elegantly presented. The ambience and the view were amazing. My husband and I have been to different restaurants in Montreal, so far, Hiatus tops them all 😊.
Brought my dad here for his retirement with my family. Food was so good, like unreal. Get the tasting menu, makes everything easier and lowkey even though it's mad expensive, it's absolutely worth every penny. Staff are a bunch of legends. Go habs Go
Absolutely loved our experience at Hiatus! Beautiful place with an incredible view, the perfect spot for a fancy night out without breaking the bank. The food was gourmet, high end, and every dish was amazing. What really made the evening special was the service. The staff was truly wonderful, especially Nel, our waitress. She was so kind, patient, and attentive with my elderly parents, which meant so much to us. Highly recommend 100%, we will definitely be back!

Our first night in the city of Montreal. Alex made our night amazing. I appreciate him so much for just taking the time to listen to us being late in traffic and was a bit behind on our reservation. The lady upfront said no and he saved the night. Thank you soooo much ALEX. Food was top notch
The food was good overall. The salad could have used a bit more dressing, but the meat was cooked to my taste. The service was decent, there was no discrimination, and the atmosphere was relaxed
Nice views, great presentation… terrible taste. The “Donegani” tasted like the rice had construction worker boot juice in it. The duck was just meh, poor Donald Duck didn’t deserve this. You’re paying for the location, not the food. I rarely leave bad reviews, but whoever designed this menu… I hate you. Save your money people and go somewhere else.
Great view, great service and and great food! Doesn't hurt that it's in the greatest city in the world!
Overall, it was a nice experience for our group of six. We chose the 5-course meal, which was enjoyable overall, but the pork dish was disappointing—it was undercooked and quite chewy, so I wouldn’t recommend it. The service was okay, but we felt a bit rushed throughout the evening. I expected a more relaxed and attentive dining experience.
Gabriel Carmichael has a real talent when it comes to drinks. Whether it’s a classic cocktail or something more creative.
I’ve eaten at Enigma in Barcelone, La Tannière in Vieux Québec, and the Hiatus ranks amongst them. Innovative menu, surprising and delectable combinations, excellent wine pairings. I highly recommend the 5 course “off menu” menu. You will not be disappointed. The sommelier is excellent and the wine pairings thoughtful.
Wonderful experience. Breathtaking view.
Sophie is, unironically, one of the best bartenders in the biz. Great knowledge of spirits, a gifted mixologist, and a real touch for service. You can tell she loves what she does!
Such beautiful views. I had an idea of a cocktail I liked and Sophie made me an incredible tequila based cocktail that was unforgettable. Food was fresh and delicious. I only had a few appetizers but I can't wait to come back for a while meal experience!!!
Sophie made my night. Amazing cocktail and service, and damn what a view!
celebrated a friend's 30th and we really enjoyed everything! the staff was wonderful, it was a perfect night.
This restaurant is breathtaking and offers an incredible view of the sunset. Service is great. Food is delicious. Cocktails are original. Everything is pricey, but worth it!
The atmosphere, views, and food are all good. However, they need to manage their seating arrangements much better. Our group of 3 specifically reserved a window table, but we weren't given one upon arrival. I would understand if none were available, but that wasn't the case. The staff had seated a party of 2 at a 4-person window table, while there were numerous 2-person window tables completely empty next to it. If they had simply seated the couple at an available 2-person table, our group could have enjoyed the window table we reserved.
We had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The entire staff was incredibly welcoming and polite, and our server provided exceptional service throughout the evening. To top it off, the food was excellent—we truly enjoyed our night
Great experience overall. Fantastic food, friendly, professional staff, impeccable service, great ambience, and the best view in the city. What else would one want? Expensive for sure, but well worth the price for a special occasion.
Can't beat the view. Nice looking restaurant. Creative menu options. Service is hit and miss.
Very nice but server made an unprofessional remark about providing free water
Place was pretty okay, went around 1pm on Monday. Vibes and views were nice. Though they were highly understaffed to the point where we didn’t even have a designated waiter. The manager I believed served us and kept forgetting requests. The bar was also unexpectedly closed due to them not having enough people. Which was unfortunate as we were celebrating a birthday.
Good food and great views. However, the prices are ridiculously high and small portions. The service also felt rushed: plates were cleared while we were still eating, which made us feel pressured to finish quickly. We were even asked the bill while still in conversation and not ready to leave. In the end, we were there for less than an hour despite spending a significant amount of money, which made the whole experience feel less enjoyable.
