I love this place. Has become a staple in my weekly lunch as a student who struggles to afford quality meals for amazing prices. They have a weekly (Monday to Friday) Lunch deal from 12-4pm where you get 3 sides, (Miso soup, Salad, and Bowl of rice) and either 2 or 3 meats of your choosing for 15.95 and 19.95 respectively. The Angus Beef is a must! Mico regularly takes care of with quick service, and makes me feel like I’m eating a meal at home. Gyu-kaku is a must, whether you’re visiting the city, or if you’re a salary worker/student like myself.

We tried this Japanese restaurant in Montreal for lunch and had a great experience. We chose the 3 BBQ items option, and we all left feeling full and satisfied. The grill-it-yourself concept was really fun and made the meal more interactive. It was our first time there, and Winnie took the time to explain the menu and gave us helpful suggestions. Her service was excellent and really made our visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

We had such an amazing experience. From the staff to the food. I wish I could bring this restaurant to Toronto. It was absolutely beautiful and the food. OMG... absolutely loved it. And our waiter was amazing. I wish I remembered his name but he weren't above and beyond. He actually celebrated my bday without me saying anything but just based on reservations.

Our first visit to Gyu-Kaku was super! The service was magnificent too. There is a wide selection on the menu. Sadly, we could not order everything so we have to go back to taste more!

We didn't have a reservation but we got lucky and a spot opened up for us! We got the Meat Lovers set for 2 people and it was pretty good! It came with a lot of meat and other side dishes. I just wish it came with more vegetables to grill cuz they only gave us a salad and edamame. The miso soup was a great addition but I feel like they could have expanded their dipping sauce options. It was quite expensive but the service was good and meat was fresh. I would probably only come back on special occasions but definitely recommend if you want some japanese style bbq.

This place never disappoints - The meat is fresh and delicious, the service is impeccable, and the staff are very friendly and accommodating! We went to celebrate a birthday recently, and the team and our wonderful server, Eric, happily accepted to serve us a cake we brought in, light the candles, and even sang to the birthday boy! I recommend ordering the “group bbq” to share if it’s your first time, though beware: it’s a lot of food!

Always great food and service is excellent. Pur server today was Mico and he is always friendly and efficient. Our lunch option of choice weekly! It is a great lunch deal actually, but even a la carte for supper is awesome
