Highly recommended place. The meat is very high quality, amazing taste. Cleanliness is spot on. Service is extremely friendly and welcoming and best thing is you come and leave and no smell sticks to you. I was happy with everything we ordered l, really nothing was mediocre. Everthg was super tasty. Best quality/price combo. I would also like to mention how happy I was with the service provided by ACESU! He was really friendly, patient, took the time to explain to us and help us choose and his recommendations were spot on. He’s not like usual waiters who just recommend the most expensive thing on the menu, in contrary, he recommends what goes with ur taste and needs, always smiling, genuine hospitality! Kudos to his service
Reviews / Ratings for Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ
Amazing prices, kind staff, and love the look of the restaurant! I would recommend coming here! (:
10000/5 stars, no exaggeration. Gyu-Kaku is that spot. The kind of place you don’t just like, you love. This has officially become our spot, the place my boyfriend and I keep coming back to because it never misses. Ever. The food is insanely good. Every cut, every bite, every sauce is consistently amazing. The vibes are warm, fun, intimate, and just straight-up comforting. Somehow, every single visit is better than the last, which feels impossible, yet here we are. A special and heartfelt thank you to the incredible staff who truly make this place shine, especially Alden, Mico, and Eric. You guys are genuinely amazing and make every visit feel special, personal, and memorable. Also huge love to the server who went out of his way to create new drinks and even let us taste his invention. I’m so sorry I forgot your name, but your passion and kindness did not go unnoticed. This isn’t just a restaurant to us anymore. It’s a place tied to memories, laughter, comfort, and quality time. The kind of place where you leave already excited to come back. Consistently good. Everything. Every time. If you’re thinking about going, go. And then go again. And again. 10,000/5 stars, forever.
The food at Guy Kaku was excellent, which makes this experience even more frustrating. Unfortunately, the service and management completely ruined what should have been a pleasant visit. I called a full week in advance to make a reservation for January 2 for five people. I was very clear on the phone and specifically asked whether January 2 was considered a holiday and whether the lunch menu would apply. The hostess put me on hold for 5–10 minutes to double-check and then clearly told me that January 2 was NOT a holiday and that the lunch menu would be available. Based on that confirmation, I made the reservation. When we arrived, the manager came out and told us the hostess was mistaken and that the lunch menu would not be honored. There was no apology, no attempt to take responsibility, and no effort to accommodate us despite the mistake being entirely on their end. Mistakes happen — but dismissing a customer after giving incorrect information, especially when it was confirmed in advance, is unacceptable. For a restaurant at this level, I expected far better communication and accountability. Amazing food, but I will seriously think twice before returning due to how poorly this was handled. Be very careful reserving here -they only want your money and refuse to honor what they promise
After a year, I finally ate again at my favorite Japanese restaurant. It still feels the same as the first time I came here. I ordered the spicy pork and beef yaki shabu, still my top choice. The flavor hits right every time. The staff are polite and attentive. The music fits the mood and adds to the vibe. The place feels comfortable and familiar. One funny downside. This place reminds me of someone who introduced it to me and is no longer part of my life. That said, no regrets. The food and the experience stay solid. Overall, a great visit. A must try.
This is the second time I’ve been here and unfortunately the last. One of my friend has a severe sesame allergy, she called beforehand to ask and let them know. We told them the moment we sat down and they told us they’d ask the kitchen and remove the sesame when they could or at least let us know in advance. To our shock, ALL the plates came with sesame seeds. They did NOT warn us, and when we asked if at least they could make sure there wasn’t sesame seeds in the last plates they said it was too late and that the plates were already made. And that was after we told them on 3 different occasions. At this point the taste isn’t the question, this was simply unacceptable and if not for our vigilance, this could of ended in a really dangerous situation.
