I used to love coming out to Grille Nature for the steak frites, it was the only thing that made the drive from the city worth it. But going from $29 to $39 since December, roughly a 35% increase, is hard to justify. At that price, I might as well stay in the city and go to L’Express or Liverpool House instead.

Amazing food.
Very lackluster for the reputation it has. Great service but food and atmosphere is mediocre at best.
Undoubtedly one of the best new restaurants in Montreal. Phenomenal and creative menu executed with precision. Great ambiance & service as well. Do NOT skip the foie gras and beef tartare (when available).
For the first time in a long time, I felt like I was living in the 2000’s when there was no rushing, tables that have enough room around them to breath and staff that were pleased to be there. This paired with the incredible food and show stopping fries (fried in tallow?) and very best dirty martini. 10/10 would recommend
Amazing, thank you
Very disappointed with my main course that the waiter could have told me that it included only 6 shrimps. I then ordered also the broccolini which they were in a heavily sauce. It wasn’t worth the trip and paying $350 for 3 people I would have gotten better food for that amount. We were accompanied by another party of 3 which we definitely won’t be returning. Regards,
Very fresh and tasty menu with good options. Service was excellent. Minimalist but classy design.
Amazing dinner at Grillé Nature. Great restaurant with a fun vibe, delicious food and excellent service. We were a group of five and enjoyed sharing several dishes. The fresh bread and butter to start was amazing. The Caesar salad was delicious. We loved the Lumache rose pasta . The honey butter rotisserie chicken with fries and salad was a standout, and the NY strip steak was perfectly cooked. The fries were so good we ordered a second serving. We finished with a chocolate sundae and sticky toffee pudding for dessert, both fantastic. The only small note is that the seating could be a bit more comfortable, but it didn’t take away from the experience. Will definitely be back.
Absolutely incredible restaurant from the service to the food we really enjoyed our visit here. We had the scallops , carpaccio , marmite oyster & milano ham. Each dish was better than the next. The scallops were the best i ever had! For the main dishes we had the steak & duck. Absolutely amazing! Our waitress was super friendly and did a really good job. Huge thank you to David Mcmillan for coming over to our table and speaking to us. Was such a good experience wish i could eat there every day ! 😂
Great place with a good food. A bit noisy in the evening though:) but that’s the only one hiccup I’ve had so far 🫶
Overated and overpriced. Food and service were just ok, below expectations. We were four and we all agreed we would not return.
Fantastic dining experience from start to finish. The location is easily accessible, the interior warm, welcoming, and spacious. The service is truly Michelin-level. And the food? Some of the best and most creative in Montreal—let alone the West Island. In a city full of trendy spots copying one another to compete over who has the best tortellini in brodo, it’s incredibly refreshing to find a place like this. A restaurant that serves true classics, executed with professionalism and grace. Here’s to a hundred years, gents. Thank you for the memorable dinner — I’ll be back very soon. - dan
Staff very friendly. Service excellent. Food delicious. Except for steak frittes all sides seem to cost extra. The decor was lovely but I personally would re-think placing rugs under the tables. Could be an accident waiting to happen. Also, very noisy. All the above criticism is constructive. On the whole I enjoyed my experience at Grille Nature. I personally think it's geared for the 40, 50, 60's crowd.
Grille Nature lived up to the expectations and I will definitely be coming back. The space is beautifully curated with rugs, warm lighting, thoughtful decor and soft jazz music-making it so that you feel as if you’re having an intimate dinner at a friends home. The food was delicious- the ribs with their sweet red pepper sauce, and the bitter caramel of the sticky toffee pudding really stood out. Our server was a delight, being very personable. I dropped a star because the bathroom was not that clean (water all over the counters, and the toilet paper holder looked like it had rust or something brown splashed all over it), which took away a bit from the experience for a restaurant of this calibre you would think they had someone tending to the washrooms more often.
Delicious and great service. What a selection looking forward to going back.
Excellent food. Excellent service. The Milano ham appetizer is outstanding & the chocolate cake is amazing. I took the shrimp as a main meal: very tasty.
Had a mostly pleasant experience for dinner this week. The service was excellent from the moment I stepped in. Had the milano ham and alpine cheese as an starter followed by the scallops. Meal was very good. Main courses are quite varied, priced from 25-100$, something for each price point. Local tall can beers from 4 Origines were listed for about 10$ with non alcoholic options on request. I ordered a small can of Asahi 0.0 (price is not listed) and was charged 12$ for it. How a small can of non alcoholic beer can cost 20% more than a tall of craft beer? My meal was good, but I left with a sour taste in my mouth.
Amazing!
What a wonderful experience. The food and the staff were fantastic. Their attention to detail was outstanding. I will definitely be going back. A great thank you to the Chef Melinda
Overpriced and underwhelming plus a pompous waiter. Steak was good everything else thumbs down.
We went for dinner and were thoroughly impressed by how beautifully the space is designed. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between casual and stylish, and the refreshed jukebox adds a clean, upbeat touch. Overall, the environment feels warm, comfortable, and inviting. We started with the Hot Avocado, White Shrimp Tostada, and Tall Salad—each dish was absolutely delicious. For our main courses, we enjoyed the Blackened Shrimp with Aioli, the D & D Cheeseburger with fries, the Seared Scallops, and the Lamb Chops. Every dish exceeded expectations, and each of us raved about our meal. Our server, Sam, was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and incredibly helpful throughout the evening. This restaurant is truly a standout for the West Island, and we are fortunate to have such talented chefs investing in our community. An easy A++++++++++. We will definitely be returning again and again, as there is so much more we’re excited to try.
I enjoyed the best steak I've ever had here. Service was wonderful from start to finish. True hospitality and careful attention to the craft of cooking is alive and well at Grille-Nature.
Honestly, I found it overrated. The presentation wasn’t very appealing, and the meat was quite disappointing, as was the sauce. There was also a real lack of vegetables— even for a steakhouse, where you already don’t expect many, there were barely any at all. Overall, everything felt underwhelming. The atmosphere felt more like an upscale pub than anything special, and the prices were extremely high for the experience you get. The service, however, was good.
Was excited to come here because we were finally were getting a 'Montreal downtown quality' restaurant on the west island. And to be clear, the quality of the food is excellent. The prices are high to match, but where I was let down is in the ambition.West Islanders want downtown quality food, without it taking an hour to get there in weekday traffic and then having to find parking. We want the exact same thing we can get in the best restaurants downtown, but closer. I thought that's what we were going to get.Instead we got a 'dumbed-down' menu and a more 'middle of the road' wine list.David we spent an hour plus fighting traffic to get to your old restaurants downtown because we could have a gastronomic experience that is hard to find - this crazy creative/quality/price ratio that does not exist anywhere in North America except Montreal. That's what we want.We don't want it to be dumbed down. We don't want it to be a 'suburban' restaurant. We want the same creativity and menu ambition of Joe Beef, Vin Papillon, Mon Lapin, Beba, Parapluie, etc. But now we still have to go downtown to get that.
