It’s alright, very touristic and overprice , mid poutine

Reviews / Ratings for Gibeau Orange Julep
This place is always nice to visit. Especially in summer time with their patio and music. Juice is the best in town, fresh and yum. 10/10 Recommended.
Really good
A classic Montreal spot that is definitely worth visiting at least once. Gibeau Orange Julep has a very nostalgic and retro vibe, especially with the giant orange structure that makes it instantly recognizable. The orange julep drink itself is refreshing, creamy, and unlike anything else. Service was quick, prices were reasonable, and the whole place has a unique charm that makes it feel like a true Montreal landmark and local tradition. A must visit for anyone visiting Montreal!!
Must try juice 👌
A place with a great vibe, though a little more expensive than expected. The orange juice was definitely the highlight — one of the best! The food was satisfactory overall. A little more attention to cleanliness would make the experience even better and the place feel more wholesome.
I had the orange juice and it was bad. Didn't expect this. Not at all close to worth the hype. It just felt like having sugar water.
One of the best hangout place ❤️
The juice is the best 😍
First time here and we traveled from New Jersey (U.S.). We ordered the famous Orange Julep drink, but I gotta say I'm a little disappointed. It definitely tastes like oranges but my impression was the drink to be a little thicker than it was. I was to believe it was to taste like Orange cream but I didn't get that vibe from it at all. On the plus side, even though it was packed (We came on a Sunday early afternoon.), the line went pretty fast and the workers were friendly and helpful. The prices of this simple food should honestly be a little cheaper, but in today's economy and being this is a "Tourist" spot, I'm not surprised. A medium size Orange Julep was over $8.00. Overall, it was a nice experience and another spot put on my list to have visited.
Amazing atmosphere, best orange juice I’ve ever had! 🍊
On a Friday night, it can be busy with students, tourists and car meet ups. Otherwise the line is pretty fast, but it looks long because the register is too close to the entrance and everyone loops around outside. The food is fantastic as the orange juice is their staple item! The hotdog and corn dog combos on the food menu is perfect amount. A must see and definitely at least once in Montreal.
The saddest poutine and hotdog I have ever eaten. The small poutine had 3 pieces of cheese and almost no grave - basically just french fries. The orange juice is 50% - 100% natural orange juice and 50% - granulated sugar. The parking lot is the real vibe.
Had a really pleasant time here. Ordering was simple and quick, and everyone working there was welcoming and polite. The food tasted fresh and flavorful, and the atmosphere made the visit even better. Definitely planning to return soon.
A very iconic spot in Montreal which is a must-visit. We went there on a Saturday night and obviously it was packed. Very different vibe there. Many vegetarian options in the menu. Food was good overall. We went for a grilled cheese, vegetarian burger (both combos) and a veggie pogo. Liked all three. Fries were good. O-Juice was nice but felt a bit sugary than sour. Portions were good and it didn’t feel heavy. All their meals are given in takeout brown bags - no trays, plates etc. They don’t have any indoor seating options but there are standing counters. There are a couple of benches outside if the weather permits. Many folks just got the food to their cars and ate them there. Staff was nice. Given it was our first time, we had a few questions which they answered well. Plenty of parking outside. Definitely recommended.
After 40 years....still love those hotel dois and à julep
One of the great old-school institutions of Montreal. The Orange Julep always hits. The fries are a little sweeter.
I love this place! Love the juice, and the food has always been really good. I appreciate that they have a solid selection of vegetarian options.
I've only had the orange juice, but I've been going Gibeau Orange Julep for years. The taste of their juice is fresh, bright, and milky. Very distinctive and nostalgic architecture and atmosphere. It's just missing the service at the car on vintage roller blades. Well worth the detour.
Yes. This is a must visit if you come to Montreal. It's an establishment and part of the city's history.
A historic landmark.
yeah i have no idea what's in the orange juice
Overpriced, staff not to nice the juice was great.
Another one part of the Montreal experience this place is a must go I wish they still had roller blade service Good juice Everynight you get to see nice cars Also a lot of police so beware if youll be doing some dumb shit Shit got super expensive and their renovation made the juice less foamy and less creamy I dont know what they did but it dosent taste the same as before Lay off the artificial sweeteners Gibeau!!!
Orange creamsicle milkshakes are to die for.
