We were there for a dinner after reading all the great reviews. We were very disappointed with our own dinning experience. They ran out of their mains such as the rack of lamb and seabass. I had to order the duck and it was overcooked and dry. My husband and my son ordered the steaks. The steaks were just ok. The appetizers and wine were good.

We had a reservation at 8, they were rude since we arrived and left us waiting for 40 minutes, unattended on the side. Said they would bring complementary drinks and that took them 30 mins and they would say our table would be ready “in two minutes” since we arrived! We ended up leaving very disappointed…

My party and I had a wonderful time here! We traveled to Montreal and felt warmly welcomed by all the staff! Our waiter Micheal was very insightful about the menu and recommended wonderful dishes and alcohol! As travelers we had the best experience and had a 5 star time! Would defintley recommend!

Great dinner with excellent service, good pace for food. We were looking for something more french-Canadian in the midst of the many Italian restaurants around... and very happy we got it!! Duck was good, while the vegetarian millefoi and the beef cheeks were very good. Chocolate lava cake excellent. The only thing that was not good for us was the foie gras. Fair price for what you get!

Dining at Gaspar was easily one of the highlights of our visit to Montreal. The food was phenomenal from start to finish, with the mussels being truly beyond compare — flavorful, perfectly prepared, and unforgettable. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it easy to relax and enjoy great conversation throughout the meal. The service was equally outstanding thanks to Hugo, who made the entire experience feel welcoming and seamless. This is absolutely a restaurant we will return to on our next trip to Montreal.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Gaspar. The service from Hugo was outstanding and the food was out of this world. We had the salmon that was perfect and the muscles and fries which were exceptional. We couldn't believe how many you get with order! Definitely recommend.

We were first time visitors to Montreal and we enjoyed a delicious dinner at Gaspar. Service was very attentive by Hugo. Mussels and frites were delicious. Also wine recommendation was great. Very nice atmosphere.

I went there with two friends The service was good at the beginning then it was slowly fading, by the end we didn't have a waiter for 20-30 minutes to order our dessert so we didn't. The food is good but nothing amazing. If you order the beef with fries it will have ZERO presentation, meat was overcooked and the fries were average. I ordered the vegan option and it was good but the octopus entry was partially burned. The place is beautiful and it has a quiet atmosphere, of course it might depend on the day. Prices are correct.

Service and atmosphere were awesome, even if it was oddly difficult to find the doorway in from the split staircase entrance (easier to find from the side facing the port). Had a pre-planned menu for business, and weirdly ended up with the wrong dessert and an undercooked steak. Overall the food was good.
